I read the reviews on this camera before buying it and decided that durability and ease of use were more important than picture quality - not least because it was to be a present for my 4yr old, but his 2yr old little brother was bound to use it, so it had to be tough enough to cope with a toddler. We opened and experimented with it before giving it to our son, so we knew how to get decent images (Hold it still, make sure there's plenty of light - natural if possible - and don't get too close), and could coach him. My son is utterly delighted with it. This is my sons favourite toy - it is brilliant and can be taken everywhere because it doesn't make a noise. It keeps babies entertained for hours. The tank has liquid inside it and is great fun, each fish has a different texture and they are really bright and interesting. Children will spend ages taking the fish out and putting them back. Simple, but it works. I bought it for my son when he was four months and he is still playing with it at 9 months.

My daughter is 9 months and has had the giraffe for about a month. She stands up using it no problem and immediately stops crying and turns to it if I start playing with it and she is upset. We had no problems at all and all her cousins (1yr to 4yrs) love playing with it too.

i got this for 9.99 on sale, and yes its big and plasticky but it works fine. i don't know what people expect to get for this price really.... in my house it does get a bit of buzzy interferance but its so sensitive i can almost always hear baby breathing and you can have it turned down in front of you and watch the lights for action. i would happily get another one for my parents house. don't know how the other person managed to have a faulty charger as i doesn't have a charger, just a mains adaptor. oh, and you do sometimes pick up other monitors/phones so if you are nosey its great, although they can probably hear you talking to your baby like a mentalist too...!

This was an invaluable purchase right from birth we used this to help settle our baby to sleep and at 8 months we still use it. Its sturdy and hardwearing and quite easy to clean and the vibrate mode was great at calming her when she was younger.

My wife bought this for our son a few weeks ago after hunting everywhere for it. He loves to bounce in it! In fact he likes to bounce in it so much that he has taken to bouncing in your lap when you hold him! It was easy to put together (my wife put ours together) and the only fault I can find with it is that it is very bulky even when folded. Thankfully, we dont have a need to compact it as it gets far too much use. It is a pain when we do want to take it into another part of the house. That doesnt happen often though. Another plus would be if it had one more height setting, as our boy is long in body and in legs and has nearly outgrown it already. I bought this magnetic alphabet set as I had purchased other Quercetti toys before that my child enjoyed. The problem with these letters is that they have the smallest piece of magnet on the backing of the letter. I found that they barely stuck to the fridge and would constantly fall off. Try a different set!
