My family enjoyed the show so I decided to try the game. I think a board game should be able to be played again and again but with this game I found very boring after a few goes. I think the show is exciting because its real money so the player really cares if they get to the next round but when playing this game you find you do not give two hoots if you get through or not. Theres no excitment element to it and we all found it boring as hell through out playing. Not great in my opinion.

Got this because my PicooZ had long since died, and even though I've graduate since to a 4-channel co-axial, I missed the little guy. So, got this as a replacement, as I fancied something a little different looking. As noted by another reviewer, you get no choice in which of the three infrared channels you will receive, which could cause problems if you want to use more than one at a time (is anyone at Amazon listening? Could we have a choice of the A,B or C versions, please?). It flies great, better than my old PicooZ, but whether this is due to a better design, or simply that my original one got a bit mangled as I learnt, I have no idea: Maybe I had better buy a heli-style one as well, just for comparison purposes, ... We got this for our son a couple of weeks ago for his 7th birthday. The console bleeps at you when a beast is near then you have to swing the console around to find the beast and then reel it in with the little fishing reel on the side. There are apparently 105 different beasts. They are divided into different levels of difficulty to catch, so you start with the easy ones. Once you have caught something you can either keep it (up to 3 at a time) and train it, or exchange it for a lure or sell it for gold. Some beasts only come out at certain times of day. Other beasts require you to have a certain lure in your arsenal from previous catches or you need a trained beast to help you to fight the beast and tire it out so ... Read More:

I bought the bilingual (French/English) version of this toy 2 months ago and so far my 10 month old has not shown any interest. He will look at it for about 10 seconds and then move to something else right away. I am hoping that he will grow to love it when he is a bit older but right now I would not recommend it.

I agree with all the above reviewers that this is fantastic. My two girls have enjoyed this over the last couple of years. However, when we got a new fridge with a brushed steel effect, we noticed that this left scratch marks when the kids moved it around the fridge doors (the kids slide it around). It was okay on our old white fridge though.
