I agree with the previous reviewer. These trains are not as well made or as durable as the ones which were made by Brio. I too am on the lookout for the few Thomas characters made by Brio we don't have.

Absolutely fantastic toy for the grandchildren. Beautifully made, sturdy & colourful.Arrived well packaged & every individual piece shown on a diagram. I shall have as much fun playing with it as will they.Everything is as shown in the constructed picture including the base with its little duck pond. It'll be staying in my house for when they come to visit but I think I'll get one of my sons to construct it.

A nice addition to the Brio set we'd just bought for our daughter (nearly three). She likes to wind the handle to make the bridge go up and down and likes the little gates at either side too. A nice touch is that the handle's been designed to be held and turned by small hands. The one caveat is that you need a special piece of track from Brio to allow track to go under the bridge rather than just over it. It's difficult to find and without it, the bridge doesn't have as much appeal.

As with the entire Thomas wooden railway by Learning Curve, this piece is very expensive for what it is. That said, it is one of my son's all time favourite pieces, and is a well made and durable toy. It is compatible with all the Thomas sets and track. The door at the bottom of the tunnel opens both ways so trains can go in either direction through it. My nearly-three-year-old adores sending the trains through so they 'disappear' and 'reappear' again on the other side. Highly recommended - but worth shopping around to find it cheaper elsewhere...
