This guide has been written as if the two islands are one. Most of the information is bundled together instead of split into different sections for each island. The guide would certainly be easier to use if each island were given its own chapter. There is also much more information for Lanzarote, with Fuerteventura being left out altogether in some cases. Surely there is enough to write about these two beautiful and interesting islands to warrant two books? I'm not happy with my purchase.

The guide book has a short description off places to see on Gran Canaria and that is okay - a little to short for my opinion. when you find a place of interest in the book it doesn't come with coordinates for the maps in the book. You have to search the map yourself to find it. Eventhough its a thin book it's a bit hard to find you way around it - The setup is messy. Descriptions off walks and and drives around the island are not very well described The 2 stars are for the rating system used in the book. The author rates places of interest with stars so it it easier for the reader to choose from the places described.

I am just back from a holiday in London and would have been lost, literally, without this excellent book. It is a convenient sized book (20mm x 12mm) 215 pages, that is easy to carry, there are inside flaps to mark your place and the spiral binding is user friendly. But it's the useful information inside that counts. It is compiled in areas eg. "Westminster and the South Bank in a Day" and this sets out a suggested itinerary such as 9.30am Westminster Abbey, 11.30am London Eye etc. this gives you an idea what's in this area and how long a time to dedicate to the attraction. A small map of the area is included showing the nearest Tube and Rail stations for that area. There is a complete Tube map at the back of the book and also detailed street ... Read More:
