My family & I live in India and run a Travel Consultancy business for visitors to India and Bhutan. We have sent our guests to many parts of the country, visiting hotels we have discovered ourselves and also those run by our relatives & friends. After having bought this guide book we were pleased to discover that many of our most favored places are listed beautifully. I can highly recommend this book to anyone planning on traveling extensively in India & looking for just the right place to stay.

If, like me, you're not a fan of souless large hotels then this book is for you. Covering all of Spain the accommodation featured ranges from small and cheap to large and costly - and everything in between. What is consistent is that every place (that we stayed anyway) has a WOW factor - that something special that means you won't forget it. And the reviews, although short, attempt to be truthful helping you ensure it's the place for you.

Recently we stayed in a number of establishments recommended through this guide; well done for producing such a great book! By the way we also use their guides to other regions of the world - excellent too. Amongst those we stayed in we particularly enjoyed Hotel Le Domaine aux Quat'Saisons, Carcassonne [...]; a haven of exceptional good taste, comforts and style, not to mention the delicious food. This book is a breath of fresh air amongst the many B&B listings on the market. Rather than focus on whether establishments have the requisite number of facilities to qualify for a certain grading, the emphasis is on the friendliness of the hosts, the comfort of the beds, the tastiness of the breakfast or the quality of the views... If you are genuinely looking for a 'special' place to stay then you need look no further than here. We have recently had wonderful stays at smart, comfortable places in Devon and Bath thanks to the recommendations of Mr Sawday and his team.

This book is the most useful book I have ever read - it allows you to see the 'real' Spain in a way that travel guides never will. I will never travel again without a Sawday guide! Guy Hunter-Watts has done a fantastic job - and is wonderfully descriptive and a pleasure to read. A Big Thank You!

Why did I title my review like this? Quite simply, the reason is that I have the previous edition and normally would not dream of updating with the previous version only just over a year old. However, when I saw in the foreword that there were around 50 additions in the latest, I couldn't resist (particularly given the current good offer on Amazon!). The main reason I couldn't resist is that a couple of months ago I stayed in the best hotel (note, not the one with the most stars) I have ever stayed in in this country. I'm not going to give away where it was but it lived up to all of the Sawday's promises 'nothing dull', 'delightful people' and so on. It was wonderful. The latest edition is ... Read More:
