The top 10 Athens is fine for a short trip, it covers all the major sights and the main top 10 for each category (museums, walks, food etc)as well as top 10s for areas. A good range of recommendations for food, drink and entertainments it is ideal for a short visit and has the benefit of being quite small so it will fit easily into a handbag or pocket. It is NOT detailed, if you are visiting a sight it will only give you a few basic facts about it and its opening times etc. It doesn't give a lot of history or detail about any item in it and probably wouldn't be suitable either for someone wanting a lot of background, detail about the place they are visiting or staying longer than a couple of days. To me these travel guides are the best you can get. It gets straight to the point, tells you enough history and the guide has a brillant, easy to use layout. I have a number of these for various cities and haven't been disappointed yet.
