This is a magnificent collection of aerial photographs of British football grounds. The photography is brilliant and the photographs also include the surrounding area which makes them even more interesting. It also includes useful information about each ground, capacity, largest attendance etc. This book will appeal to football fans and also to anyone who appreciates superb aerial photography.

I'm a river, lake and waterfall swimmer really (see the new book on 'Wild Swimming' in the UK) but you can't beat a fantastic beach too. The authors have picked some of the most spectacular places, some well known, others more secret, and written about them in depth. The practical bits are useful, and the maps for each of the 35 place chapters are very helpful. The photos are totally stunning, beautifully printed on matt paper. Very nice. The coverage is a little limited but overall a very inspiring coffee-table guidebook.

I bought this book before my second trip to New York. I must admit I thought I knew most of the shops in NY before I read it but boy was I wrong! It is an invaluable guide for both first timers and experienced shoppers. The maps in it are among the best I have seen in any NY guidebook let alone one devoted exclusively to shopping! I would recommend that anyone going to NY buys this book, it is well worth it!

I've just spent three months travelling round Sri Lanka with both the Rough Guide and the Lonely Planet guide. I have to say, that the Rough Guide proved, on almost all counts, to be the much better option. Obviously neither guide is perfect - the Rough Guide is excellent on the South coast, but not so good when you travel further north, and both guides fail to give much useful information (or the correct information!) about how to travel around by public bus. However, the Lonely Planet guide is pretty inaccurate throughout. Many of the maps are wrong, for instance, and it fails to actually give a balanced view of whether place is worth visiting.
