I have worked through the 10 minute miracle at the beginning of this tape so many times that I have worn it out! It is a really good toning routine that can be used on a daily basis and fitted in to a really busy day. It made me feel very relaxed and 'loosened up'. I recommend this. I only wish it was available in DVD then it wouldn't wear out!

I have many of Barbara's videos, and this is up there with them. This features at least five moves not on the '7 secrets', 'the power of yoga' and 'the total body plan', so is worth adding to the collection for a variety in sequence and a general change in words and settings etc... i need change in my pratice and Barbara is a fine teacher, so its good to get as many as you can to vary the practice. This i think is slower than the aformentioned titles, and there are less repeats, however there are a lot of moves on this video and the sequences are nicely laid out. One word of caution i would add to anyone collecting Barbs vids is that this is the 'Fabulous Shape forever' video from 1997 repacked, just so that you dont get both. This is still ... Read More:

In later videos, Barbara Currie takes on a "Jolly Hockey Sticks" persona. This may be OK with Aerobic type exercise but it is jarring when it comes to Yoga. It's a pity that this video is no longer readily available.

A friend lent me this DVD and I have to say THANK GOD I didn't spend a penny on this DVD. Besides the cheesy and unflattering costumes, this woman rushes you through the poses and you barely have a chance to breathe and let it all soak in (kind of like this sentence LOL!). She's also reading from a monitor below her (you see her glancing at it between poses) which is just so unprofessional and lazy. Doesn't she know her routine before she performs it? There is zero passion in this woman. At some point while doing a pose, I got an image of a harangued waitress at a greasy spoon who was fed up with customers. There is no wonder this video used to be a best seller it really is great. It really focuses on the thighs both back and front and is very easy to follow great for beginners and the more advanced. Other sections of the video include, body brushing, facial exercise`s, tummy toning and arm toning there`s also a total energising section as well as a 10 minute stress buster. Included with this video was a booklet with suggestions for a healthier way of eating. I would recommend this video it really does tone and help with cellulite.

The first yoga video I ever bought and it remains one of the best. Three stages with many exercises in each. Easy to follow and inspirational.

This routine enables you to concentrate on specific problem areas of your body, the routines are simple and Barbara talks you through them well. Not only does she provide toning exercises she also ends the video with a relaxation and revitalisation section. The exercises really work the difference in my shape was even commented on by others after only 4 sessions.

A word of advice, when the remake comes out next year the DVD makers will be raising the prices on all these sequels so snap them up while you can even the not so good ones like this one. Jason takes manhattan (when he gets there almost 70 mins in!!!) but the audience will be taking a nap! This one suffers from a poor rushed script and a very odd ending that would make more sense to David Lynch...

I had never done yoga before, and although some of the moves are quite advanced as you move through the video, you are constantly being advised to go at your own rate and level of comfort. The way it is split into sections is good, so you can choose to do as little or as much as you want. My 7 year old daughter also has lots of fun practicing with me, and likes nothing more than a quick 10 minute stretch with Mummy-doing us both good! Have already noticed an improvement in both my posture and stomach muscles!!
