VHS : Sleeping Beauty [Disney 1959]
This is my favourite Disney movie. The backgrounds are detailed and stylised like a series of medieval tapestries. The intergration of the characters in what look like the best sets ever designed for a semi-swashbuckling musical/comedy/thriller is stunning.
I still get frightened when the fire goes out and Maleficent appears to tempt Aurora through the back of the fireplace (Maleficent being a truly evil villainess). The score is superbly used in these scenes. Brilliant stuff.

2.Peter Pan [1953] starring: Bobby Driscoll, Kathryn Beaumont, Hans Conried, Bill Thompson, Heather Angel
directed by: Hamilton Luske, Wilfred Jackson, Clyde Geronimi

VHS : Peter Pan [1953]
with the amazing animation and the trademark singalongs you know this is a disney film what can you say when the people at disney pump out great film after great film? well for me this film doesnt quite deserve the prestigus 5 star mark purley because i thought that the story seemed very very rushed but apart from that the characters are great physically and vocually (espseacially mr smee)and the constantly present "disney magic" is there so i am not complaining (that much) definatly worth a look young or old

VHS : Basil The Great Mouse Detective (Disney) [1986]
This was one of my favourite films as a child and still is today. In my opinion it is THE greatest Disney film and does not have the fame it deserves.

From beginning to end this is a delight to watch, mainly thanks to the wonderful Sherlock Holmes based characters and cunning twists in the plot. There is plenty to amuse both the child and the Holmes fan, from the narration of Dr Dawson, the loveableness of Toby, the evil schemes of the Napolean of Crime - Professor Ratigan , and of course the cunning disguises and eccentric genius of Basil himself, not to mention brief cameos from the human forms of Holmes and Watson. For the ardent Holmes fan there are a number of sneaky and less obvious references to the great human detective. The fun, adventure and ... Read More:
