VHS : Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata [2004]
Before I say anything else, I'll say that I enjoyed this 'midquel.' In fact, I think that The Lion King 1 and 1/2 (or 3) should have gone theatrical. It's sweet, funny and the animation is downright gorgeous. Timon and Pumbaa are two of my favourite characters and I can never get enough of them.

But something's missing. It's that nostalgic feel I get when I watch the first two, especially Simba's Pride. It's simply not there. And it's because this was not part of my childhood like the first films were. I have no fond memories of it, since when it came out, I thought I was too old for 'a baby movie like The Lion King,' and so I didn't care for it. It's only when I realised that The Lion King was more than just a mere 'kids movie' ... Read More:

VHS : Oliver And Company (Disney) [1989]
This film was a childhood favourite of mine and now that I'm 19 and still a Disney fan, I thought I'd give it another try and still I thoroughly enjoyed it. But Oliver and Company is by no means flawless. The music and humour are both very good and the characters are as cute and loveable as you'd expect from Disney. But at times this film does attempt to slightly overstep limits with some darker moments, and it's also a rare occasion where a movie being fast paced is actually a bad thing, as the film is only 70 minutes long and goes by in no time. But still a good film for all the family and certainly one of Disney's more underrated titles. It just could've done with being a bit longer.

Ok we love this movie and we want it in a DVD in the states. I am sure that everyone who sees this movie and know that it is a great work of art. look who all are in it they are the best. there has never been a better cast. they are the reason Spinal Tap is still around.
this movie is the best around. and to not turn it into a DVD is a crime. the one liners are the best.

but ends up as a piece of crap.
Sorry, but this film is not good. It started out as a decent gangster movie and should have kept this path. There was enough potential here to make this Rodriguez' best film, but why did he have to bring in the vamps to make it a slayfest and ruin this? George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino were so great as the two Geckos brothers and the beginning scene was just awesome. What a pity.

Lovely DVD! One for the whole family to enjoy. I'm happy enough for my kids to watch the latest blockbuster action movie with its inevitable violence, but it's great to find gems like this that they can also enjoy - films which are just, well, nice!

This film, for me, is great film making. It stands completely on its brilliant, original story plus great acting from all. There are no "formula" additives of big star, big budget, over-the-top story, or any other Hollywood chemicals to artificially sweeten the product.

It is a night in the life of an ordinary hum-drum office worker that becomes a surreal rollercoaster ride of mishaps and coincidences, after reading a book on his own in a cafe leads to him meeting a charming but mysterious strange woman. The night slowly turns into a neverending nightmare - funny, as long as these acts of fate arent happenning to you!

I found this film a hoot, really watchable and recommend to anyone looking for some lighthearted fun.

VHS : Spy Kids [2001]
This movie is full of action, adventure and creative characters without being violent and scary. My two boys loved it. It was loads of fun for my husband and I as well as there is plenty of comedy that transends generations. We have seen Spy Kids 2 as well but can't reccomend it as it contains more violence and the characters were pretty scary.
