VHS : CherFitness: A New Attitude [1991]
I have used this video for years and years, before, during and after being a total gym freak and I agree with most, this is one of the best workouts all round for the home. I too am on my second video as I wore the first one out and I came on this site today to see if I could get it on DVD as no doubt in the near future we will no longer be using video players! I have also bought other video's / DVD's ranging from other step ones such as Reebok and also tae bo, Ministry of Sound etc, etc. I find that some sections on other home video's bore me but I enjoy every section of this one!

If you like step, you'll love this :)

My only complaint also is that it isn't available on DVD:)

VHS : The Witches Of Eastwick [1987]
There are plenty of customer reviews of this superb film already - wonderful acting by all the cast; great directing and a deft adaptation, though it takes liberties with Updike's novel. An absolute classic which is great fun to watch again and again.

My gripe, here, is with the print of the Warner Home Video DVD. Poor picture quality, particularly in the first half hour, is a huge disappointment. And the sound is not that good, either. The age of the film is no excuse. I watched, the day before, an immaculate and sparkling print of the Bette Davis classic NOW VOYAGER, so if a 1940s movie can look that good, Warners should have done better with this 1987 film.

This happens time and again with a good many DVDs. Often ... Read More:

VHS : Tea With Mussolini [1999]
Semi-autobiographical tale from the early life of director Franco Zeffirelli looks at the illegitimate son of an Italian businessman. The boy's mother has died, and he is raised by an Englishwoman (Joan Plowright) in pre-WWII Fascist Italy. Living to each other in Florence, and presided over by an ambassador's widow (Maggie Smith), a group of Englishwomen live a sheltered existence which they believe is guaranteed personal protection in a tea reception given by Il Duce. However, as war breaks out, the women are interned. Occasionally in this English colony is a wealthy American (Cher), who visits among her travels and marriages to wealthy older men. She respects the "Scorpioni", as they are known, and secretly arranges for their stay in a hotel. When the ... Read More:

VHS : If These Walls Could Talk [1996]
"If These Walls Could Talk" is one of the most didactic films you are likely to see, but given that there is no issue in contemporary America that is more polarizing than that of abortion it could well be that it is one of the least persuasive films you will see as well. Those who are pro-choice will see it as compelling, while those who are pro-life will see it as offensive, and those who have not made up their minds are too young to watch anything that originally aired on HBO. That is especially true of this film, which has a pair of scenes that will upset you regardless of gender or ideology.

The conceit of "If These Walls Could Talk" is that three women, living in three different times in the past half-century but in the same house, find themselves ... Read More:

I bought this after enjoying the first Cher Fitness video A New Attitude. Unfortunately I really hated this follow up. I simply couldn't get to grips with the dance section. I couldn't hear the instructions! The video came with resistance bands but, again, I found it really hard to follow. I used the video once and it went straight in the drawer never to be seen again.

VHS : Silkwood [1984]
Interesting to see the goings on in the plutonium plant and the way the locals were employed in the high tech plant without really knowing the dangers. Obviously most of the workers would not want to see the plant closed as it seemed to have been the main/only employer in the area. I found Miss Streep's acting to be annoying because she was trying too hard to portray a trailer trash image. She is never without a cigarette off duty
and constantly flicking back her hair as if suffering from some tic. It came across to me as being very overacted and artificial ie she was trying too hard. The film dwelt too long on Silkwood's domestic and sexual life without adding much to the story. This aspect could have been drastically cut and made a less boring film.
