VHS : Before And After [1996]
When sulky teen Jacob Ryan (Edward Furlong) is accused of killing his girlfriend, his parents (Meryl Streep, Liam Neeson) first try to cover up what really happened; later, the truth comes out. Or is it the truth?

How such talented actors could make such an abysmal film is nothing short of amazing. The movie is just bad. Every word that the characters say sounds like, well, movie dialogue. None of it rings true. Everyone - from the parents, to the boy, to his little sister, to the lawyer - is way too Noble and Heroic to be believable. The pregnant pauses, pained expressions, and lofty platitudes about loving one's family and doing the right thing are over-done and just plain boring.

There's no question Streep and ... Read More:

VHS : Super Troopers [2002]
This one is from the Broken Lizard comedy team and concerns a bunch of highway patrol officers who are more intent on larking about than doing any actual police work. They may be good at playing the `Meow' game, but their ineptitude means their department is about to be closed down, and the only hope of survival lies in solving a case of drug smuggling and murder. Can they stop covering each other in shaving foam long enough to get the job done?

Super Troopers is the third full-fledged Broken Lizard film I've seen (I'm not counting the dire Dukes Of Hazzard), and this is about as funny as the other two (Club Dread and Beerfest). It's pretty low-brow stuff, but I'm not ashamed to say I like that kind of thing, and this one kept me ... Read More:

VHS : The Postman [1998]
You're trapped in a shameless parody of Mad Max slash epic western and Kevin Costner's driving he won't even let you stop for a toilet break. The only reason you are watching is because someone has broken your arms and legs and for good measure sewn your eyes open. Yes you guessed its The Postman!! Never in the history of having the choice of watching this or being violently hacked to bits did you choose the wrong option. My favourite example is the bit where Costner rides out of the Mist heroically a look of steely determination on his face as if he was escaping the demons of Hades all shot in glorious slow motion. The whole sequence goes on for what seems like thirty minutes!! You wake up from your coma induced dribbling because you think something is ... Read More:

VHS : Shadows And Fog [1992]
This has an impressive cast for a Woody Allen film. Madonna, Lily Tomlin, John Cusack, Major Winchester from MASH, Marge from the Simpsons etc etc. But and this is a very big but, the laughs are few and far between. There are other Woody Allen films that are better.

5.Lord Of Illusions [1995] starring: Scott Bakula, Kevin J. O'Connor, J. Trevor Edmond, Daniel von Bargen, Joseph Latimore
directed by: Clive Barker

VHS : Lord Of Illusions [1995]
Losing the strait ahead structure of his first two films Barker draws out his short story "The Last Illusion" (Books of Blood VI aka Cabal) and makes an intriguing prelude to "The Great and Secret Show" Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that the D'Amour's second story will ever see the screen.

The story centers around an occult led by nix, a petty demon-like man with some real powers, but little ambition. After he kidnaps a 12 yr old girl, his best learner, Swan, and a small band of followers who see the error of there ways mount a rescue, they seal Nix in an iron mask and bury him in the dessert.

Years latter...

Swan is married to the girl, Dorthea, now a woman, but Nix's followers are ready for the resurrection. Fearing for her safety Swan ... Read More:

VHS : Basic Instinct [1992]
It's not often that i rate films a full five out of five as viewers of my previous ratings will see, maybe i set my expectations very high when watching films. But then again i believe films should grab us, catch us and keep us watching the whole way through. This is what this film does. It mixes a subtle blend of thrills, sex, erotica, mind games, and crime. A sumptuous blend of all these make this film an unmissable two hours of your life.

7.Scam [1994] starring: Lorraine Bracco, Miguel Ferrer, Christopher Walken, Daniel Von Bargen

VHS : G.I. Jane [1997]
Even with a number one shaved head, Demi Moore is still a fox.

Entered into elite SEAL training, she is beaten up, shot at and half drowned all to prove that the girls are as tough as the boys.

After much hardship, she makes the grade and proves herself in a Libyan mission with flying colours.

Good action scenes in places and good storyline.

VHS : The General's Daughter [1999]
This film drags and the plot isn't very good. There are some good moments, but for the large part I thought this was very average.

VHS : Company Business [1991]
Here's a game for really long car journeys - see how many alternative titles you can remember for this one. At one time or another known as Dinosaurs, Patriots, False Passports and Russian Roulette - and there are a lot more where they came from - with Elliott Gould and Marsha Mason announced in supporting roles (neither is anywhere to be seen in the finished film), Company Business appears to have been re-edited, reshot and retitled more times than anything this side of Heaven's Gate before finally getting a brief US release to disastrous business.

The scars and indecision don't show too badly; this looks like it was always this naff. Hackman and Baryshnikov are amiable in underwritten roles as the obsolete spys set up by their respective employees when a spy swap goes wrong, but Nicholas ... Read More:
