VHS : Billy Madison [1996]
I watched this on sky once and i actually had to go to hospital (NO JOKE!!) from laughing to much i nearly choked. So i bought it and played it to my friends at a sleep over. We were in stitches and we laughed that much we woke my parents up the best bit though is the bit where billy madison (sandler) falls onto his front porch LOL!!

But yeah if you like the films where sandler is PURE STUPIDITY!! then this is the film for you. You will want to put it on constant play.

I agree with the other reviewers as to the artistic merits of the film.
However this is an unacceptably poor quality DVD (I have had a similar bad experiences with another "Elstree Hill" product)- worse than my off-air VHS copy - do not buy it! It is a disgrace to Amazon!

VHS : Christmas Story [1983]
A little jewel of a film! This movie was released with not much fanfare in 1983, but has developed a loyal following in the U.S. due to it's repeated airing on cable television. Such is it's cult following, that American cable network TBS regularly hosts a "Christmas Story Marathon" during which the film is shown for 24 hours straight, from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day! I moved to Ireland from America 6 years ago, and have searched in vain for this film to appear on the Christmas schedule of RTE, BBC, Sky or any of the other 500 channels on my system. Sadly "A Christmas Story" is virtually unheard of on this side of the Atlantic, and I soon realised that I would probably never see it again, unless I bought it myself.

The film is great on ... Read More:

If 'Superman', 'Wonder Woman' and 'The Incredible Hulk' are to your liking, you may wish to add this title to your collection. However, I must forewarn you that this is not a very good film at all!!. I was very dissapointed with it!. The beginning has a very "eerie" feeling, whereby the young "RedSkull" is besieged by Nazi officers in midst of World War 2 and his family are horrifically murdered by the SS. Meanwhile, a young (and fairly fit and handsome man) applies to the US Government to act as an an experiment" and is "injected" with superpowers!!!. (Though the mask and suit he acquires are very theatrical and his weapon - a shield - acts like a boomerang). Ronny Cox steals the show, acting as President of the USA.. all in all "an ok film".. but please dont ... Read More:

I watched a run of the 20 part series around 29 years ago age 10 or 11 on bbc2, today was the first time I'd seen the films and they built a good foundation to follow them up with another viewing of the series.
As well as the scary and the tense moments there's a lot of comedy, the banter bewteen kolchak and the rest of the office staff is great to watch especially vincenzo and the characters really grow on you. If your into hammer or any monster/ghost type films you'll enjoy these and the series.
It was great to be taken back 29 years to the good old days, and have the pleasure of watching them with my own 11 year old son who thought they were brilliant. Darren McGavin's acting is first rate and if you don't mind real acting and the odd bit of dodgy make ... Read More:

The Most exciting Airport's of all! Including a wonderful supporting cast... Christopher Lee & Lee Grant do a great job. Brenda Vaccaro and Jack Lemmon do most of the brave work! The effects are breathtaking & the set looks stunning. The Music is grand and the story although quite familiar & cliche is still fun! A must for all those fans who love a good old fashioned disaster Movie.
