VHS : Monte Carlo or Bust [1969]
Peter Cook and Dudley Moore are only two of the galaxy of stars who all have great parts in this classic 60's comedy about the famous car rally across Europe. Tony Curtis, Terry Thomas, Eric Sykes, Susan Hampshire and Gert Frobel all have dirty tricks up their sleeves to be first across the line as they face the hazards of the frozen North, the Alps etc. "Pete n' Dud" appear as two maniac Army officers in what is my favourite of all their performances. This film is the real story of the 60's cartoon serial "The Wacky Races" and you will recognise the Dick Dastardly character immediately as Terry Thomas (and Eric Sykes, the sneaky butler who translates brilliantly as "Mutley, The Snickering Hound" in "The Wacky Races"!) The media coverage of ... Read More:

VHS : Arthur 2 on the Rocks [1989]
Arthur 2 on the rocks is not as funny as the first film, but I still enjoyed it. Arthur is more embarrasing as a drunk, than funny in this film, but Dudley Moore is still a joy to watch. An average late 80's film revisiting the classic original 'Arthur' film, but not quite capturing the magic of the first.

VHS : Arthur [1981]
I have just watched `Arthur` 27 years after first watching it, Utter Joy.
Anyone who is a little down on life should go to their doctor and get a prescription for this film. Sit down and play the dvd, and laugh, and laugh, and laugh, Cry a little, use up a few tissues, and just enjoy. You will feel as right as rain after this.
Brilliant cast, perfect timing. One of the all time best.

VHS : Comedy Greats: Peter Cook And Dudley Moore
After the tremendous Broadway success of their satiric revue Beyond the Fringe--and their special Tony Awards in 1963--Peter Cook and Dudley Moore performed for three seasons with their own BBC show called Not Only...But Also, which continued their satiric romps, ad libs, and zany, irreverent humor. With long-faced Cook playing straight man and Moore as the funny innocent, they range widely and intelligently in this compilation, considering serious literature, music, drama, and even art from their off-beat and hilarious perspectives. Cook's frequent wild departures from whatever passes for a script, as he throws himself into his roles, often leave Moore gasping to keep from cracking up completely, the audience having as much fun with these ad libs ... VHS : Under Suspicion [1991]
I am astonished to be the (apparently) first person to put a review on this....15 years after the film was released. Under Suspicion has to be one of the most memorable, cleverest thrillers we've seen in a long, long time; maybe even as far back as Dressed to Kill. The whodunnit plot is excellent and full of red herrings, the acting utterly convincing, film noir screenplay outstanding and the twist at the very end left us open-mouthed and immediately we re-wound the tape and watched the film all over again. I think this actually is Liam Neeson's finest performance, even better than Schindler's List. The courtroom/jail scene is compelling. I think the critics must have been asleep to write anything less than what is written here.

VHS : Derek And Clive Get The Horn [1979]
I was not offended by the language, subject matter or vulgarity. Yeah it was full on but so what? What I was appalled by the poor video and audio quality and above all the sleep inducing 'comic' meanderings of two supposedly funny and clever men.

This is utterly self-indulgent, passe and simply not funny. Dull! Dull! Dull!
