VHS : The Barefoot Contessa [1954]
This is another beautiful piece of cinematography.
Ava and Bogart compliment each other beautifully.
Alot about the character seemed to echo Ava's life - her love of bullfighting and bullfighters and sheer zest she had for living and life!!
This is another DVD that I cherish - take a look at Pandora and the Flying Dutchman, another superb Ava film.

That it somehow becomes more than the sum of its parts is quietly magical in its own way, and the amiably dry narration linking the events and non-events underlines the ebb and flow of the film nicely. Oddly enough, I was struck by the similarities to Tony Hancock's later 'The Punch and Judy Man,' which seems to touch on several aspects of small-town inertia ... Read More:

VHS : Miranda [1985]
...you like poorly acted, badly dubbed, humourless, storyless excuses for directors to live out their sad parody of male sexual fantasy. It lacks the creativity to be an 'art film' and the explicitness to be pornography. Avoid it at all costs!
