VHS : Lock Up
A Stallone movie that is better than you think. Stallone is a short timer in the pen and is transfered to a more secure prison. There he is harassed and tortured by the revenge seeking warden(Donald Sutherland). The part was of course molded for Mr. Stallone, but on the other hand the accomplished Mr. Sutherland is more bland and boring than fearsome.

I never really understood what it is that I like about this film, and that is what I like about this film! I think it's the duration of some of the shots, which are just awkward enough to bring you to the edge of the seat. Beautifully Strange. Strangely Beautiful.

I once had this film taped from the TV. It had different music and sceenes in some places than is in the re-released versions of today. The original version must have been the un-cut version (just wish I still had it). It has just come out on DVD on region 1 (USA) and hope (pray) it comes out on region 2. This is one of the best films I have ever seen. All the leading actors/actresses play their roles perfectly. The witty punchlines/quotes are memorable. If anyone has a copy of the original they don't want, I would be more than greatful.

This is a Truly Great Art Film. It is Very Much like a Fellini Film in that it uses very artistic locations and great cinematography.

Mostly what I like about this film is that it is like no film I have ever seen before. The locations are great, the film has great characters, and the music is great. It is like watching an hour and half long music video.

This is truly a revolutionary film.

10.Capone [1975] starring: Ben Gazzara, Susan Blakely, Harry Guardino, Sylvester Stallone, John Cassavetes

Great, great movie. This was actually the first mob movie I saw, and it was class. Sly Stallone-a posionous, back-stabbing tratorous snake as Frank Nitti, Susan Blakely as a firey Iris Crawford, a world away from the normal female roles in mob movies, Harry Guardino-that act rivaled the quality of Sean Connery, and Ben Gazzara. The only word for his act is OHMYGOD. That was absolute slick! They call Robert the Niro's act as Al Capone good, and they haven't seen Gazzara's? ("Sure, I pack a rod all the time. Here, let me show you.") The pace can be a bit tedious at times, and they only seemed to have one bit of music that was continually playes, but apart from that, it was slick.
