VHS : Mickey's Christmas Carol
The only real complaint about "Mickey's Christmas Carol" is that it only runs 25 minutes, which means the story gets a bit rushed. The rest, such as the idea that Goofy should play Marley, is just quibbling (Goofy has the height to make it work). On the plus side of the ledger is the on-point casting of Uncle Scrooge McDuck as Ebenezer, Mickey Mouse as Bob Crachit, and Jiminy Cricket as the Ghost of Christmas Past. Historically "Mickey's Christmas Carol" was important for Disney because it was the first animated Mickey Mouse short in thirty years. Since these are the Disney characters inhabiting the familiar roles from "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, you end up with a winning combination of goofy humor and warm sentiments. However, you cannot ... Read More:

Lovely DVD! One for the whole family to enjoy. I'm happy enough for my kids to watch the latest blockbuster action movie with its inevitable violence, but it's great to find gems like this that they can also enjoy - films which are just, well, nice!

VHS : Mickey's Magical Christmas - Snowed In At The House Of Mouse
I LOVE this movie!! It was one of the first Disney christmasmovies I`ve ever bought, and I watch it several times every year.

My favorite is "Mickeys christmas carol", it`s just the ultimate christmas movie. When Scrooge wakes up on christmas morning, takes a walk around saying merry christmas to everyone, and in the end where he delivers lots of gifts and food for poor Bob`s family, it`s awesome... :) I`m not that big a fan of the build-up around these short movies, mixing the new clubhouse stuff with old classics, but that`s such a tiny, tiny little piece of this, and it`s not THAT bad. "Pluto`s christmas tree" and "The Nutcracker" are also great classics. I think your inner child has to be well dead and buried ;) if you don`t like them just a ... Read More:

VHS : The Great Race [1965]
I've always liked this film and thought it a great pity there had been no Region 2 release on DVD.
This cracking tale of dastardly deeds and deceit is a marvellous race to reach the next gag. And there is never long to wait!!
Through a plethora of cultures and engaging social backgrounds, the tale never seems to peak, until the fantastic pie fight.
A well re-mastered film, although the soundtrack did seem to fade in places.
However, top marks.

VHS : Winnie The Pooh : The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh
In 1966 Walt Disney decided to make a movie based on A.A. Milne's classic stories because his daughters had loved the stories so much.Walt soon found out the Americans were not so familiar with the Winnie The Pooh characters so Walt decided to break the film up into 3 short movies so Pooh could be more popular if he could build up an American following.Later the 3 films were combined to make this film masterpiece.Walt did perfect casting.Sterling Holloway IS Winnie The Pooh.Paul Winchell IS Tigger.John Fiedler IS Piglet.Junius Matthews IS Rabbit. All these actors did their characters perfectly.Sterling Holloway (Kaa in The Jungle Book) used his timeless amusing talent on Pooh.Paul Winchell (Dick Dastardly in Wacky Races) does brilliantly as Tigger.Character actor ... VHS : The Apartment [1960]
The apartment is one of the essential Christmas movies along with the other black and white classics - It's a wonderful life, Miracle on 34th Street, Some like it hot and Scrooge. It's a fantastic film for a cold, dark December night and seems to work best at that time of year, just like The odd couple or Rear window work best in summer.
