VHS : Peter Pan [1953]
with the amazing animation and the trademark singalongs you know this is a disney film what can you say when the people at disney pump out great film after great film? well for me this film doesnt quite deserve the prestigus 5 star mark purley because i thought that the story seemed very very rushed but apart from that the characters are great physically and vocually (espseacially mr smee)and the constantly present "disney magic" is there so i am not complaining (that much) definatly worth a look young or old

VHS : Alice In Wonderland (1951) (Disney)
First time i saw this movie i was about 6 or 7 years old and it became one of my favorite cartoons.
Then i watched it last night (Im 24 now) and it was more intresting than the first time.
I think Alice in Wonderland is a pure acid trip story, check the colors, voices, the worm with the bong and that mushroom (Magic mushroom maybe) she ate that made her big and small ??????? and also that weird cat.
This movie is made in a way that makes any one who watches it love it.

VHS : Pride And Prejudice [1940]
I hadn't seen this film since I was a child, and didn't have the highest expectations having heard throughly mixed comments surrounding it. I can honestly say that it was an absolutely lovely surprise. No, it isn't completely faithful to the novel, but neither is any other adaptation (not even the much loved 1995 version- I don't remember any scene in the novel where Darcy takes a bath or a dip in the lake), and it's true that the costumes are far more Civil War than English Regency, but this is one of the rare examples in which it doesn't really matter because it's just so charmingly done.

Greer Garson is simply magnificent as Elizabeth Bennet- poised, intelligent, gracious and witty and is excellently matched by Laurence Olivier's Darcy. ... Read More:

VHS : The Informer [1935]
John Ford directed this deeply dark vision of poverty and revenge in 1920s Ireland in 1935 and got an Oscar for his efforts. And rightly so. It tells the story of Gypo Nolan, (not the sharpest knife in the drawer and brilliantly played by Victor McLaglen), who after being ousted from the equivalent of the IRA during the Irish Rebellion becomes destitute and hungry. In order to put food on the table and save his sweetheart from prostitution he decides to turn-coat and inform on one of his former comrades for the reward money. Then things really start to slide... This grim fog-laden tale is so thick with atmosphere and tension that it had me on the edge of my seat all the way through.

Ford made 'The Informer' the same year he made the equally brilliant, ... Read More:

In 1941 Alexander Korda directed one of the best films of the 1940s and even of all time.Staring Laurence Olivier(Henry V) as Lord Nelson and Vivien Leigh (Gone with the Wind)as Emma Hamilton.Made in World War 2 can be clearly seen as a bit of a proganda film of the time. This film took 6 weeks to film and every scene looks fresh you wouldnt get a movie done that quick these days. From there first meeting in Italy to the scene where Lady Hamilton is informed of Lord Nelsons death at the Battle of Trafalgar the movie is classic story telling the likes of what seem to be extintc some times. This was Winston Churchills favorite movie probabaly due to it being very proud of being british and the hidden messages about defending you country and freedom.A true classic of a movie ... VHS : Two Girls And A Guy [1999]
This is one of the strangest movies I have ever encountered. I dont think it is an appealing film for people just wanting a relaxing night in to watch a good story.
This film is different. It isnt about telling a story. Its about acting.
At times I must admit, even as a devoted Downey fan, I was curious as to where the plot was going. The whole movie is filmed in one flat, which is basically one room. The script is vague, and I think the majority of the speach is improvised. Although these factors may frighten some away, they are in fact, what makes this film so good.
The acting is fantastic, and because it is a low budget film, with no bombs going off in the background, or car chases, it lets the audience get drawn in, and concentrate purley on what is being said.

VHS : Motion [1994]
This is one of the seminal techno videos and should be seen by anyone with an interest in this area, as it makes mincemeat of all the early rave graphic videos that are its contemporaries. The graphics on here have now been bettered, but the atmosphere is still tangible - enhanced by the classic mellow techno tracks that accompany the visuals. Amazingly there is still no more coherent compilation techno video than this on the market - X-Mix is just what it says, a DJ mix with accompanying visuals from various sources, and the likes of "Sound & Motion" are disparate compilations of promo videos. This vid would have rated 5 stars when released but now that it looks a bit dated, and particularly because it is only on grainy old VHS (what no DVD ,WARP?) it can only merit 4.

Under heavy fog Drummond (Ray Milland) comes in for a landing against everyone’s better judgment. It is important as his friend is Algy Longworth is in the hospital (I rather not say what for).

While confronting Algy (Reginald Denny) on this delicate matter he gets a call form Inspector Col. Sir Reginald Nielson (Sir Guy Standing) who warns him to go home or leave the country immediately. “But Inspector!”, “Don’t call me inspector!”

Sir Reginald explains that he is on vacation and every time Bulldog shows up there is a mystery with a beautiful woman in distress and a murder near by.
