VHS : Star Wars [1977]
Everybody can remember the original 1977 Star Wars, and this is it, but made a lot better! For Star Wars' 20th Anniversary, George Lucas has digitally remastered it, changed it and made the sound quality better and made it look a lot more realistic with all the CGI they have added. A great film made greater. I own it, and I think you should buy it. It adds to an already great film collection.

VHS : Bless This House [1972]
sid james is the kind of person who you wish was still here today, there was just something about the man which makes you smile, the face and the yak yak laugh was made for fish & chips style british comedy. bless this house the movie is still a good laugh, sid plays "sidney abbott" the head of the abbott household, his main problems in life revolve around his two kids mike & sally (robin askwith & judy geeson) who constantly cause him loads of trouble. there's lots of funny moments in the movie,i like the scene where sid has a cake fight with his snooty neighbour (played by the great "terry scott") other good performances come from peter butterworth, june whitfield and patsy rowlands. it's a good spin off from the still funny bless this ... VHS : Lord Peter Wimsey - The Nine Tailors [1974]
A young Lord Peter (Ian Carmichael) in uniform on his way to the war. He is standing in for his brother The Duke of Denver at a wedding. Mischief is afoot and an emerald necklace was pinched. Where it was stored for save keeping I can not say. It looks like the perpetrator was winged by a well placed shot. We get the inside story and know the truth.

All in the first chapter we see the crime and the fait of the perpetrators. We also get a first hand view of the meeting and growing relationship and Wimsey and Bunter (Glyn Houston.) As fait would have it Lord Peter finds him self once again in Fenchurch St. Pauli again. This time as providence would have it just in time to replace a sick bell ringer on New Year's Eve.

VHS : Kennedy [1983]
The DVD box set offers excellent value for money and Martin Sheen and John Shea are very powerful as the Kennedy Brothers. History is repeated with accuracy although my only critisism is that their golden era is portrayed as just that "golden" although it clearly wasnt. I would still recommend this set to anyone for a rainy Sunday afternoon in.

Roger Moore's debut as secret agent 007 is intriguing and exciting as he portrays the infamous James Bond in a very charming and secretive way, more so than Connery who was very professional and more rugged in his role. I'm personally a bigger fan of Connery and Brosnan but Moore still does the role justice in this 1973 adventure about Bond trying to track down a fate believing drug lord.

The plot is slightly confusing the first half an hour in or so but once speed boats, helicopters, crocodiles and Solitaire are added the film takes a turn in the right direction, becoming exciting throughout.

Its one of the more mysterious Bond films, with mystery surrounding significant characters and events right until the very end.

VHS : Montana [1949]
"Montana Territory...1879...where cattle was king...where the law was a gun...and the men who drove the great herds up from Texas made the rules. They were hard men...they had to be hard to keep alive..." And not just the men. Cattle queen Maria Singleton (Alexis Smith) is not about to let a bunch of stinkin' sheep onto prime cattle land. She and Rod Ackroyd (Douglas Kennedy), equally prejudiced against mutton, run things in this section of Montana Territory. It's not going to be easy or pleasant when Morgan Lane (Errol Flynn) shows up on horseback with a lot of sheep following him. All he wants is a chance to prove that cattle and sheep and share the same land profitably. While he's trying to do this, sometimes with humor, sometimes with his fists, men will die, the sneaky Ackroyd ... Read More:

VHS : Going My Way [1944]
This film is truly wonderful to watch. Bing Crosby and Barry Fitzgerald play wonderfully off each other throughout the film. It is easy to see why each came away with an Oscar from the film. It is a film that is much maligned, but for anyone who enjoys a film with a good story, top notch performances and the absolute pleasure of Barry Fitzgerald then buy this film and simply enjoy a film from an age gone by!

VHS : Beavis And Butthead - There Goes The Neighbourhood [1996]
This was the first 'Beavis And Butt-head' compilation of released on video, and centres around the troublesome twosome's encounters with their unfortunate neighbour Tom Anderson. Due to his short-sightedness, he never recognises them, so time and time again is subjected to their chaotic capers.

The tape's first episode is 'Home Improvement', one of the earliest Beavis and Butt-head episodes, which sees the meddlesome morons 'painting' Mr. Anderson's house for him; which they do - with graffiti, and then go for a destructive ride on his sit-on lawnmower. Without the music videos that were originally mixed in with the cartoons, some of these episodes (particularly the early ones) seem very short. However, with this one running just over 3 minutes, I'm 99% certain that it has been ... Read More:
