Very funny film throughout.

A trio of bungling kidnappers are outwitted by a crawling baby, who leads them a merry dance from start to finish.

Great fun for all age groups.

VHS : Montana [1949]
"Montana Territory...1879...where cattle was king...where the law was a gun...and the men who drove the great herds up from Texas made the rules. They were hard men...they had to be hard to keep alive..." And not just the men. Cattle queen Maria Singleton (Alexis Smith) is not about to let a bunch of stinkin' sheep onto prime cattle land. She and Rod Ackroyd (Douglas Kennedy), equally prejudiced against mutton, run things in this section of Montana Territory. It's not going to be easy or pleasant when Morgan Lane (Errol Flynn) shows up on horseback with a lot of sheep following him. All he wants is a chance to prove that cattle and sheep and share the same land profitably. While he's trying to do this, sometimes with humor, sometimes with his fists, ... Read More:

VHS : Red Rock West [1993]
This is one of my favourite movies ever. Nick Cage has the classic talk and demeanour of James Dean or an early Marlon Brando as he swaggers silently into a bar in the desert and finds himself in the middle of the most incredible plot and cast of characters.

This movie has such a rich and thoughtful plot that it is a wonder to me why it never made it into the Hollywood hall of fame. The story will be spoiled if i was to expand on what happens in the movie, but the twists and turns keep you hooked until the very end, always guessing. In classic 50's style, Red Rock west has an enticing feel of the expanse of America and the lure of opportunity. Itinerant Wanderer Nick Cage finds himself at the mercy of strangers in Smalltown U.S.A all playing ... Read More:

VHS : The Love Bug (1969) (Disney)
Jim Douglas (played by Dean Jones) is a broken-down, has been racecar driver. But, when he finds himself saddled with an innocuous little Volkswagen Beetle, he suddenly finds that he can get a lot more out of it than anyone thought possible. Jim's kooky friend Tennessee Steinmetz (Buddy Hackett) keeps trying to tell him that this car is special, it has a heart and feelings, but Jim knows that a car is a car, is a car, right? And now that he is winning races, his chief competitor, Richard Thorndyke (David Tomlinson), is out to get that inexplicable little car! [Color, released in 1968, with a running time of 1:47.]

This is a fantastic movie, and a real family classic! I loved this movie as a kid, and couldn't wait to introduce my children to it. As expected, ... Read More:

VHS : They Died With Their Boots On [1942]
"They Died With Their Boots On" is a classic. It is has an energy all it own and it gallops unapologetically to its inevitable final. Errol Flynn gives one of his finest performances as General Custer and Olivia de Havilland is irresistible in the part of Libby Custer.

The history portrayed in "They Died With Their Boots On" might be pure Hollywood hokum but it is still the best film ever made on this subject.

In reality General Armstrong Custer was not a liked man. In fact he was hated by his troops and despised in Washington. During his years on the Indian plains Custer's soldiers suffered terribly under his despotic and inconsistent command. Custer made enemies wherever he went. The final battle at the Little Bighorn and eventual defeat of Custer ... Read More:

I wept during every moment the talented Dunston spent on screen. He is the most dynamic and charismatic ape to hit the scene since that crazy orange beast that propelled Clint Eastwood to stardom. Put Dunstons moving performance with the hilarious physical comedy of Baby's day out, and you've got a really cracking comedy double!

8.Doris Day - Young At Heart / The Thrill Of It All / Lover Come Back [1954] starring: Rock Hudson, Doris Day, Tony Randall, Edie Adams, Jack Oakie

VHS : Doris Day - Young At Heart / The Thrill Of It All / Lover Come Back [1954]
I loved the three videos in this box set from start to finish. "Young at Heart" introduced me to the wonders of Sinatra, who sings "One for my Baby, Young at Heart, and, my fav, One of those things," amongst other fab songs. Sinatra and Day really shine in this heart-warming musical.
"The Thrill of It All" is about a doctor (James Garner) who becomes jealous of his wife's (Doris Day) new found celebrity from a soap advertisement. It is completely hilarious! I laughed at every moment of this fantastic film!
"Lover Come Back" is also a great comedy - this time Doris was partnered with Rock Hudson. The two make great viewing. The chemistry between them, coupled with the script results in a film people will watch time and time again!
You don't need to be a fan of Doris ... Read More:
