I have seen this film hundreds of times and never get bored with it. This film has everything fighting for honour, rapping, love and a brilliant story line. It is a must buy film as the acting is top notch and the bikes are lovely too.

An excellent plot line, side-splitting one-liners and brilliant acting. Enjoyable for all ages, heart warming and emotional, I don't think I will ever tire of this film.

VHS : Uncle Buck [1989]
I would have to say that John Hughes is perhaps one of the most under-rated directors of his time. Indeed, most of his work was only done around the 80's/early 90's period, but rarely do people associate with his films.
Uncle Buck, to me, bonds so strongly with 1 of Hughes' other films 'Trains Planes and Automobiles' (yet another under-rated classic) in that it captures all the essences of a meaningful film.
The plot is straight-forward - 'Uncle Buck', a real down town bum with a job at a local tyre shop, is given the call to babysit his brothers children after him and his wife need to rush to see an ill family member. The warm hearted Buck instantly bonds with his 2 younger nieces, no older than 5, but struggles to get along with ... Read More:

Candy is brilliant in this role as a bumbling detective. Comedy is gentle, but he has hundreds of great lines, this is a greatly underrated film.

VHS : Little Shop Of Horrors [1987]
I watched this at an early age and I still love it now and sing along to the songs as much as I ever did! With a geeky Rick Moranis and a scary Steve Martin, this film doesn't fail to please.
Although it looks like a kids film younger children might be a bit worried by the man-eating plant . . .however my kids love it ( little gore-hunters that they are!) Its bright colours and cheesy songs are the perfect antidote to a boring sunday afternoon!!!

VHS : Planes, Trains And Automobiles [1987]
i saw this on video back in the eighties and have never stopped telling people just how good this is. To be honest just about anything post about 1975 from Hollywood I wouldn't usually touch with a barge pole but I'm just glad I saw this when I still gave some Hollywood-type films the benefit of the doubt. As well as being funny in just about every way....perfectly drawn characters, wonderful acting from both of the stars and an amazing script that unlike so many comedy films that start promisingly never flags in the slightest to cap it all it is also genuinely poignant and moving without going anywhere near sentimentality. Not just my favourite comedy ever but easily one of my all time top ten films of any kind...

VHS : Flesh - Andy Warhol [1968]
Released, presumably for status value, under the Andy Warhol umbrella this is in fact a film by one of his entourage Paul Morrissey.
Flesh has a basic premise: following the exploits of a pretty young hustler as we are encouraged to engage with, and be shooked by, his daily life in New York.
This film is low on technique, in terms of glossy style typical of Hollywood features, but this is irrelevant. This film centres around giving its audience voyeristic pleasures through observing perversity (as it is imagined). Its style plays like a home video/documentary/late night (jerry springer-esqe) chat show, and from my point of view that works! It's involving yet shallow, like an x-rated conversation you happen to over hear on a bus, you're made to take ... Read More:

Emmett Fitz-Hume (Dan Aykroyd) and (Chevy Chase) Austin Millbarge are looking for a new life and find it in the CIA. They are so good they are rushed through training. They are dropped off in the desert to perform a mission. Natural adapters they find their skills get them into and out of all situations Hope/Crosby style. Little do they know they are decoys? Speaking of Bob Hope, be sure to notice the key part he plays in this movie.

Will they complete their mission?
Or will they figure out who the decoys are?
Where is the real team?
Is there something more sinister afoot?
Can you sing "Soul Finger"?

VHS : The Rescuers Down Under (Disney) [1991]
This sequel to the rescuers was something special to disney, as this is the first sequal of feature animation to also become a feature. This is currently the only sequel to date to become a feature; this shows disney had great expectations and faith in this film.

This film has a similar story style to the original film, where a kid gets captured and its up to the rescue aid society to come to the rescue. The character cast in this film is amazing, and the animators do an incredible job at portraying emotion and expression through them.

This film also, as many may not know, include disney first 3d visual effects in 2d animation. There is a flying sequence at the start which is actually 3D which at the time of release was breathtaking, ... Read More:
