VHS : Harry Enfield And Chums 1997 [1994]

This video is very funny indeed as it contains nearly one hundred minutes of top comedy. Among the many highlights of this video are Wayne and Waynetta winning the lottery, Lee and Lance's song, the homeophobic dad, the Scousers in Spain, Kevin going to a party and the Toddlers painting together. Nearly every perfect sketch on this video is funny! Harry Enfield uses super characters with excellent catch phrases. 'I'm not your slave?' 'Calm down, calm down' and 'You don't wanna do it like that.' The one fault with this show is you can't really watch it more than twice without becoming slightly bored. Still great while it lasts.

VHS : Harry Enfield And Chums [1994]

After 2 classic series for the BBC (Harry Enfield's Television Programme), this third series (which is basically the same show but with a new title and some new characters) is where Harry's comedy genius began to dip and, in my opinion, began to get a bit desperate.
The old characters are as funny as ever: Tim Nice-But-Dim, the Old Gits, the Slobs, the Scousers (with someone else playing Joe McGann's role) and Kevin becomes that infamous teenager... (Remember the original kid "Kevin" who was the total opposite of his teenaged version?). Kathy Burke is brilliant as Perry (but everybody knows that, I guess). Also: Lee & Lance are a major improvement in this series - a lot funnier than in the second series.
Some of the new characters ... Read More:

VHS : Spitting Image - The Best Of - Is Nothing Sacred? [1984]

This SI video is hillarious! It features (Mostly)the best bits of "Spitting Image". I laughed all the way through with most of the skits and the caricatures (Like John Mayjor) Are also Hillarious! The musical numbers ROCK!! Like the Queen singing a pop song about her self and a punk group mixing in and out with pop. The only complaint is that most of the political skits rareley feature Maggie! (Because It was released in 1992) A must for fans of comedy and puppets

To be fair, I must admit - I'm not a great fan of Westerns - endless rounds of grudges being taken, then scores settled with endless supplies of ammunition as literally dozens of people are cheaply slaughtered. There's also chasing around on horses that seem to be at full gallop sometimes for days. If you do happen to like all these things and it's why you watch Westerns, they are all here in Silverado. Such an evocative name, but it's just another generic small Western town you've seen a thousand times before.

The film takes has all the bits you'll find in other cowboy-epics. There are lots of small-scale plot-lines but the overall story just isn't really there - various cowpokes fall out, shoot each other to bits over and over, then ... Read More:

What a great film.

I actually worked as Locations for th crew on this film. Talk out good fun! Sir Peter had me in stiches whenever I saw him!

A classic comedy - so well done. Such a shame it didnt do well in the cinema. Wrong time I think.

Buy and enjoy!
Gavin

DP put in a fairly good performance here but the atmosphere is poisoned by the petulance of Richie Blackmore. He is a brilliant talent and DP are not the same withouit him, but why oh why didn't Ian Gillan or Jon Lord just lamp him one?
