VHS : The Sins [2000]
As suggested, this is an entire series, consisting of 7 episodes on 2 cassettes, which covers each of the 7 deadly sins. A quite wonderful series, whether a fan of Pete P. or otherwise. The writing for starters is truly inspired/ & inspiring, touching on many subjects entirely connected with being a human being...subjects that matter, like love, death, friendship, family. Combine such emotive language with the delivery from a brilliant cast of actors & actresses(or are both just termed actors these days?), & you`ll be weeping like Niagra Falls. So, plenty of loo-roll is mandatory. Well worth the price-tag.

VHS : Back Home [2001]
I didnt exactly have any high hopes when I started watching this. In fact I thought it was a childrens movie and the only reason I wanted to see it was because Sarah Lancashire is in it and shes according to me one of the best actresses ever.
Now I've never read the book so I cant speak for it BUT this is no childrens movie. Not that young people cant watch it I just think you have to be a little older to apperciate it.

The family in this story decided to ship their daughter of ... Read More:

VHS : The Lakes [1997]
John Simm was an unknown when he took the lead role as Danny BBC1'S he lakes back in 1997 now of course he's appeared in Clocking Off, State of play and the Canterbury Tales. The Lakes is as my title says - UK Drama at it's best. 6 fast paced episodes each one as gripping and intreeging as the last. Its fantastic stuff and one of the most memorable series of the 90's
