VHS : Undercover Blues
OK, let me start out by saying that this is one of my favorite movies; it's a nice combination of romance and action. I like Dennis Quaid and Kathleen Turner as a couple, finding them to be a lot of fun. The action is very good, and the scene where Dennis Quaid beats up a bad guy with a baby in one hand and a stroller in the other is great! Yep, this is an excellent movie, one of my all-time favorites!

By the way, as far as family viewing is concerned, this is a very family-friendly movie. The violence is limited, with is no blood to be seen, and no nudity. I love this movie, and so does my family (especially my fourteen-year-old daughter!). We highly recommend this movie!

VHS : 10 Things I Hate About You [1999]
I'm 19 now (so was only 9 when '10 Things I Hate About You' came out) and I have seen this film way too many times to count. There have been countless sleep-overs, film days, random get-togthers and quite evenings alone that have all featured this film, so much so that I can now pretty much recite the entire script off by heart. Yet it is a mark of just how great this film is that, despite knowing it inside out I can still sit down and watch it and thoroughly enjoy doing so - it is and always will remain one of my favourite films.

When I was younger I never questioned anything in the films I watched - it is only as I have grown up that I have learnt to be critical of films, books and music, and even now, I can't fault any of the acting ... Read More:

VHS : Almost An Angel [1990]
A witty, funny and heartwarming film. One of my all-time favourites that deserves to be released on DVD.
Elias Koteas deserved an Oscar for his performance.

5.Carry On Columbus [1992] starring: Jim Dale, Bernard Cribbins, Maureen Lipman, Peter Richardson, Alexei Sayle

VHS : Carry On Columbus [1992]
Are the people planning on making Carry On London totally potty ? Modernising the Carry On's by bringing in a load of new comics & actors while making things too lewd with a barrage of single - entendres did not work in 1992 and for that reason will fail in 2008 . Julian Clary , Sara Crowe , Rik Mayell , Martin Clunes , Maureen Lipman , Richard Wilson , Alexi Sayle and Nigel Planner are just not the Carry On team . They have not the skills of people like Kenneth Williams , Hattie Jacques , Joan Sims , Bernard Bresslaw , Kenneth Connor , Sid James , Charles Hawtry & Peter Butterworth needed to play this kind of comedy . The scripting is feeble as Dave Freeman is not the writer that Talbot Rothwell was and Mr Freeman was not given enough time which explains ... Read More:

VHS : Necessary Roughness [1991]
Its the usual formula. Take a bunch of no-hope football players, add a old coach and a never-was quarterback. The team magically turns into winners after the obligatory bar fight with the best team in the league.

Everything about the plot, characters and action is humdrum. It is watchable but is completely inferior to "The Replacements" in every way.

I couldn't honestly recommend this to anyone.

VHS : Corrina, Corrina [1994]
I come back to this film again and again. There is nothing too original about it, but it is all well written, well observed and well acted.

Whoopi Goldberg plays Corrina, the housekeeper who makes a huge difference to a widower and his young daughter. Her comic talent is used to great effect. It's a rare romantic lead for Ray Liotta. He is better known as a gangster in films like 'Goodfellows', but this one proves he is a versatile actor. The daughter played by Tina Majorino, will move the meanest heart.

Set in the late 1950s, the contemporary pop and maybe older jazz songs used for the soundtrack set the mood and certainly enhance my enjoyment.

The interracial love thing still seems more of a taboo in America than it is here. ... Read More:

VHS : 8 Mile [2003]
"8 Mile" is Eminem's very own Purple Rain.

Such comparisons may very well be lazy. But more than that, they're true.

Take an urban kid living in trailer park squalor. Give him dreams of music and an ability beyond his intelligence. And a spirit-crushing job. All you need to do is give him a child-beating father and you've got Purple Rain.

But it's much better than that. Gone are the fancy flourishes of 80's rock flicks. Gone are the wild concert sequences and the embarrassing hair styles. What you've got is a film that reflects the bored, hopeless existence of trailer park America in a way as compelling as anything since the nihilistic Kids.

"8 Miles" isn't anything even vaguely glam, despite its world of Gangsters, Guns, ... Read More:

VHS : Suburban Commando [1991]
What a great little film this is. I have watched it over and over again and never tire of it. A great little comedy, children and adults alike will love it.
The Hulkster, is supported by a fabulous cast including Mark (The Undertaker) Calaway, for you grappling fans.
The plot is simple but crambed full of laughs.
Long overdue for release as Region 2.
Well worth watching!
