VHS : Doctor Who - The Invisible Enemy [1977]
Yes even though even i wonder why the Doctor seems to have no blood in his brain when he and Leela are cloned and injected into his neck, and how they can breathe as well...well, maybe he doesnt have much blood, he is an alien after all! And maybe he does have an airy head!

Despite these quirks in the script, this story is still highly watchable and entertaining. And doesnt the nucleus just look so cool? Attack of the killer prawn with attitude, although the voice by John Leeson is great! And this story did introduce the cool K9 too. And the spacesuited men whove been overtaken by the virus are actually pretty creepy. And despite the budget restraints, this story doesnt look too bad either. And also i think Tom's acting is great ... Read More:

1: Tom Baker is excellent as the deranged Xoanon

2: Louise makes a brilliant entrance as Leela

3: The horda are cute.

4: The tesh are gits, but likeable ones, with their arm flapping!

5: Tom is great as ever as the Doc too.

6: The tribe have more developed characters than usual.

7: Great comic moments, especially how Leela runs into the TARDIS despite the Doc not really wanting to take her.

8: We for once get a sizeable chunk of story to see whats happened after the enemy has been thwarted, which is a nice change.

9: the staue looks impressive.

10: Good actual 25 min eps for a change!

Need I go on?

VHS : Doctor Who - The Invasion Of Time [1978]
As a Doctor Who fan I am duty-bound to see the good in every story from the classic series; I can even see The Myrka in a (vaguely) positive light and trust me, that ain't easy to do! For me, part of being a true fan is seeing something good in the weakest stories - true, this isn't what I envisaged as a callow 13 year-old in 1985 reading Terrance Dicks' Target novelisation, but 1970's 'Who' was made on a shoestring for the most part and the overwhelmingly ambitious creatures and worlds created within it were never going to be anywhere near as impressive when televised. Although I love the new series I often hanker for the slow-pace and often more thought-provoking episodes of yesteryear - this story has betrayal, duplicitousness ,false-enemies, Leela, ... Tom baker, argubly the best doctor is superb in this very atmospheric doctor who tale, and is partner by the best doctor who assistent Leela. This is not as action packed as an average doctor who story but it more then makes up for it in the character development of the lighthouse occupants.Children and adults will enjoy this both alike due to the atmosphere fear it creates and the suspicion between the characters creating watchable confrontations. This episode borrows ideas from john carpeters, 'The Thing' very well and is an essential in any Dr Who collection.

VHS : P.R.O.B.E. - The Devil Of Winterborne [1995]
Despite its limited budget and rather clichéd special effects, Mark Gatiss' "Devil of Winterbourne" is written in such a way that the twists and turns of the story keep the viewers on the edge of their sets without the need for a sudden blast of Psycho-esque music or an almost unnecessary attention-grabbing movement of an object previously thought to be inanimate which is normal to specimens of this genre. The impossible-to-predict story line creates the sense of tension necessary to as sci-fi film, and it is so strong that it makes life easy for the actors. Although in some cases the acting is far from perfect, the fine portrayals of several both major and minor characters (namely Reece Shearsmith, Peter Davison and Gatiss himself) are detailed ... Bob Holmes always was a great Doctor Who writer, in my opinion still better than Russel T Davies, and he always had memorable characters in every single one of his scripts.

Well, who would have thought that a story about tax could be so flaming cool! But as i said, you can be assured that with Rob Holmes, you will always get a brilliant story with funny dialogue but also some great horror touches. And isnt Henry Woolf flipping brilliant as the Collector? One of the best villians ever on Doctor Who! And Louise Jameson is as strong as ever, and has a lot to do for once! A flaming cool Doctor Who story!!!!
