VHS : Callanetics - AM/PM [1981]
This is 2 complete 20 minute workouts, and it's the gentlest of the available Callanetics videos. It makes an excellent introduction to this unique method, and good for people with not much time to spare.
Another added benefit (and this is especially true in the P.M. section), is that it's wonderfully soothing, and if you're feeling anxious or stressed, Callan's soft and gentle voice, guiding you through these slow motions, will help release any tension, and calm the nerves.
If you're the type that needs a lot of "bounce and flash" to get you motivated, Callanetics is not for you...this is indeed "meditation in motion"...the exercises can be very difficult if done correctly, but everything is done quietly and in "triple slow motion".

VHS : Daddy Long Legs [1955]
Although the plot of this film should make it a really sweet (although slightly surreal) film. The age difference between the two leads did make me feel more than a little creeped out.

VHS : Andrew Lloyd Webber - The Royal Albert Hall Celebration [1998]
When in March 1998 Andrew Lloyd Webber turned 50, a full two-hour celebration gala concert was given in his honour at London's Royal Albert Hall. He certainly deserved it, since by that time he was rightly thought of as the most successful musical composer of all times. As it is wide known, he wrote numerous hit shows, including the two longest running musicals in the history of the West End and Broadway, i.e. "Cats" and "The Phantom of the Opera". So the numerous artists who performed his shows and singles were called together and they delivered this stunning concert accompanied by a wonderful symphonic orchestra. Every show up to that date, except "By Jeeves", "The Beautiful Game" and his latest, "The woman in white", was covered, the former from ... Read More:

VHS : Blake's 7 - Trial / Killer - Episodes 19 And 20
These are the sort of scripts that set Blake's 7 apart from the rest: Trial concerns two trials; Blake's trail with himself about coming to terms with Gan's death and Travis's show trial by Servalan as her scapegoat for not capturing Blake. Brian Croucher finally gets under the skin of Travis making him more real than before and the dialogue is excellent. Blake's trial isn't so well thought out with the alien Zil trying to make him realise that he has to keep going or die. The second episode, Killer is one of the best ever. An alien desease breaks out and Blake tries to help. Great storyline and good performances make this a classic and no Travis or Servalan to be seen; A welcome change.

VHS : Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble - Live From Austin, Texas [1980]
This video covers two different shows at Austin Texas. It is interesting to see Stevie Ray in the first show almost nervous ? don`t know if thats the right word. When you compare him in the second show there is marked difference in his presence on stage, very assured and relaxed. As for the musical content, what can I say that`s not already been said, stunning , brilliant and a true guitar great. That goes for both shows , although I really like everything that SRV did the best parts of the tape are, for me anyway, Tightrope,Riviera Paradise and Texas Flood. But it`s all brilliant, no more than you would expect from this Texas Bluesman. There is also a bonus section of Little Wing, but I was dissapointed with this as I was hoping it would be of SRV playing ... Read More:

Poor effects, poor make up, lousey acting and a laughable script; what do you get? - Yet another episode of Blakes 7. These two eps don't merit a look. Save your money!

VHS : Blake's 7 - Stardrive / Animals - Episodes 43 And 44 [1981]
Two classic episodes of the much loved BBC Sci-Fi series.

Viewers will probably remember 'Stardrive' for two reasons: First, it is the episode featuring the Space Rats, the inter-galactic punks whose preferred form of land-based transport is the quad-bike, and whose antics provided plenty of classic out-takes which, sadly, have probably been repeated far more times than the series itself ever was. Secondly, it is in this episode that we see the show's acerbic anti-hero Avon at (arguably) his most dispicable, his actions finely balanced, almost paradoxically, between cold rationality and sheer malicious madness.

'Animals' is a far more run-of-the-mill outing for the gang, revolving round Dana, her former tutor, Justin, and his mysterious genetic ... Read More:

I have no doubts that this will forever be my favourite film. The story is spot on, the characters perfect and Pierce Brosnan at his absolute best. I can't think of a better way to spend a few hours in front of the TV.
