VHS : Neil Diamond - Love At The Greek [1976]
I have grown up with Neil Diamond and this was probably the first video I ever saw. When this video comes on my whole family can't help but get up and dance. This is an excellent video, Neil Diamond is a great man who knows how to get his audience up and going and even though you are only watching a video in a strange way you feel as though you are there in the audience.
If you love Neil than you must see this video you will never look back

VHS : Neil Diamond - Greatest Hits - Live [1988]
I caught the last 10 minutes of an 'Appearance by Neil Diamond' in London (June 2008) on TV and realised here was a name but someone I had never known. His story about dancing with Princess Diana at the White House was touching and rare, as appeared to be Diamond himself. And at 67. Ditto his Johnny Cash area voice. Cash with honey if you like. My kids, at my instance, then gave me his Hits of 89 in Los Angeles for Father's Day. It is great stuff. Dated but great. And No.11 -- You don't give me flowers any more -- with the surprise inclusion of a singer from back of the stage providing the female counterpart to Diamond at his best -- is mesmerising and I play the DVD often for just this track. Don't know who the lady is -- she is not given any credits ... Read More:

On the evening of September 27th 1993, a select audience celebrated the release of Neil Diamond's new album UP ON THE ROOF : SONGS FROM THE BRILL BUILDING by attending an exclusive performance featuring Neil Diamond along with Paul Shaffer & his band.
The show offered a special glimpse of the world premiere of some of the most popular songs from the album along with a special bonus encore of " Cherry , Cherry. "
A special highlight is Neil's performance of " Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen " with Neil Sedaka.
In the early 1960s, the Brill Building was the hotbed of pop music songwriting. Songs that have been sung by two generations came from a talented group of young songwriters sitting in small rooms with their pianos.
The song ... Read More:

I have to admit that before seeing this movie, I wasn't a big fan of the Band, but their performance on this particular night really rocked. Kudos to Martin Scorsese for bringing us closer to the intimacy of the group in live performance. This intimacy is only hightened by the fact that the director seems to have made a concerted effort not to film the audience. There are also some wonderful performances by other musicians such as Joni Mitchell and Muddy Waters.

I have to say though that Bob Dylan had to be the worst performer on the night and I was glad when everybody else got up there to help him out.

Apparently when Scorsese showed the initial cut to Neil Young's manager he was furious as Neil had a huge cocaine booger hanging from his ... Read More:
