VHS : The Adventures Of Pinocchio
Although mainly seen as a puppet in animatronic form, former Home Improvement star Jonathan Taylor Thomas delivers a stunning performance as the marionette who dreamed of being real. Jonathan's performance is far from being wooden.

What makes this film even more enjoyable is the attention to detail - even the puppet looks like Jonathan.

Whether you're eight or eighty, you'll love this live action interpretation of the classic story.

VHS : Desert Heat / Knock Off [1999]
Despite approaching the millenium Jean Claude Van Damme It All proves once again that an old fashioned good guy kicking some serious butt is as entertaining as ever. Sticking closely to the tried and tested formula Van Damme delivers his usual array of nonsense before delivering his infamous roundhouse kick to a more than deserving scheming schister. Ultimate non-thinking entertainment.

VHS : Deuce Bigalow - Male Gigolo [2000]
The plot follows Deuce on the journey to earn money as a male gigolo in order to pay for a tropical fish tank and its contents before the professional gigolo whose house it is returns.
This is by far one of Schneider's funniest performances and one for the books.
Any comedy fans and fans of Adam Sandler will love this film.

VHS : Judge Dredd [1995]
I'm in a minority, I know, but I've never understood why this film was, frankly, raped upon its release and remains so to this day! I grew up reading 2000 A.D. (Delivered every Saturday to my house!) and all the elements are here. It riffs on many characters and stories from the magazine and adds a few necessary touches here and there. I was quite happy watching it back in 1995 and didn't have a problem with the variations on character or the overly comic book (read: simplistic) tone of the film. It really was how I imagined the film of Dredd to be. And considering that Danny Cannon was reading 2000 A.D. at around the same time (he sent in a picture of a Judge Dredd film!) I can fully appreciate what he's tried to do with the film. Everybody ... Read More:

VHS : Surf Ninjas [1993]
Take Bill and Ted, give Bill kung fu powers, enable Ted to recieve psychic abilities through a Game Gear and then make their heirs to the throne of a small Asian island which is currently being ruled by evil tyrant Leslie Nielsen. With me so far? Now add Rob Schneider in a very funny early performance, lots of ninjas, some surf boards, lots of pop culture references, some more ninjas, a love interest and "Moto-surfing". The result is a wonderfully funny film that thrives on being so utterly awful. Genius.

VHS : 50 First Dates [2004]
The island is Hawaii, a temporary paradise for many women; the man on the island is Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) also a temporary paradise. Unwilling to commit to anyone or thing but his boat.

Then he meets Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore). After an accident she has lost her ability to transfer short term memory to log term. So every day since the accident is erased and she starts over. So the relationship starts from a bet and ends up who knows where if any where.

At first it the film looks just like any old Adam Sandler film that only Sandlerights could like. Then it settles down to cute. Then it settles down to meaningful, finally you forget that you are watching a movie and then it is over. Drew excels in this movie and is very believable. ... Read More:

VHS : Necessary Roughness [1991]
Its the usual formula. Take a bunch of no-hope football players, add a old coach and a never-was quarterback. The team magically turns into winners after the obligatory bar fight with the best team in the league.

Everything about the plot, characters and action is humdrum. It is watchable but is completely inferior to "The Replacements" in every way.

I couldn't honestly recommend this to anyone.
