For any dancer this is brilliant!!!!! The characters are cleverly developed, showing dancers of different abilities, shapes and sizes! Liza minelli portrays Mavis who has been let down by the west end - yet finds a new career in teaching dance. Its a must see!

I remember watching this film for the first time years back and loving it and although I still enjoyed it the second time around,I found that Ralph Macchio's acting let it down. His character just wasn't believable, the acting stilted and for some reason his 80's clothes and haircut made the film look dated. The Vets roles were all very well acted and show the heartbreak and dislocation from every day life that I imagine a lot of these veterans must have felt on returning home after the war. The ending is somewhat predictable but heartwarming all the same. Overall, definitely worth a watch.
