VHS : Octopussy [1983]
I might be extremely sarcastic about the role in the world of the closest ally of the United States, the UK, but I admit many British actors are unbelievably talented. Sir Roger Moore is a brilliant performer. Together with Harrison Ford, he's my favourite actor. I enjoy all his James Bond movies very much. A great movie, a great actor, that's all I want to say.

VHS : Live And Let Die [1973]
Roger Moore's debut as secret agent 007 is intriguing and exciting as he portrays the infamous James Bond in a very charming and secretive way, more so than Connery who was very professional and more rugged in his role. I'm personally a bigger fan of Connery and Brosnan but Moore still does the role justice in this 1973 adventure about Bond trying to track down a fate believing drug lord.

The plot is slightly confusing the first half an hour in or so but once speed boats, helicopters, crocodiles and Solitaire are added the film takes a turn in the right direction, becoming exciting throughout.

Its one of the more mysterious Bond films, with mystery surrounding significant characters and events right until the very end.

VHS : The Spy Who Loved Me [1977]
The most sophisticated spy in cinema returns for one of the best Bonds of the 70s as Roger Moore reprises the role as the British agent in Lewis Gilbert's action adventure.

007 travels to Egypt to find out who is behind the mysterious disappearing of submarines and he is helped by Russian agent Major Anya Amasova (Bach)

This is probably one of Moore's best performances as the secret agent as he delivers a lot of sophisticated lines and jokes into the role. His attitude towards the mission and the situations which arise are brilliant and his partnership alongside Bach is one of the best Bond partnerships ever made.

The plot is consistent and very interesting to see the relationship between the two agents grow and become tense and intriguing ... Read More:

VHS : The Quest
This film has the same sort of storyline to it as bloodsport a secrete competiton is held in a far away land. Van damme wins as allways and there are loads of fight scenes.

This is one of his best fighting films i have ever had the pleasure of watching. The scenery is amazing. A brilliant fight film the fight scenes are truely incrediable.

VHS : Moonraker [1979]
Like The Man With The Golden Gun, Moonraker is often unfairly criticised for its excess of fantasy and introduction of some comedy elements that many feel have no place in a bond movie. Admittedly, there are occasions where the comedy is, perhaps a little overstated; (the Tarzan yell in Octopussy anyone?)however, bond films are not about serious representation of covert spy missions, instead - in their heyday at least, they are about pure escapist fantasy, and Moonraker succeeds in providing this by the bucket load. From the quirky dialogue, to the stunning locations, stunts and special effects, Moonraker broke the mould and was to remain the highest grossing Bond Movie of all time until 1995's Goldeneye.
Moonraker has it's flaws, but in terms of entertainment alone, it is perhaps ... Read More:

VHS : Swing Time [1936]
In my opinion this is easily the best of the Astaire and Rogers films.

It follows the basic Fred and Ginger formula - boy meets girl, boy falls for girl but she doesn't return the sentiment, boy wins girl over with song and dance - but the thing that lifts it head and shoulders above the rest (yes, even Top Hat) is the perfect balance of comedy with the best song and dance routines the pair ever commited to film. There are no dud numbers, no tiresome sub-plots that make you want to reach for the FFD button, just one classic after another and some genuinely amusing moments.

I'll simply never tire of watching it.

VHS : The Man With The Golden Gun [1974]
This wretched 007 movie continued its downhill slide with Roger Moore in the leading role. Eyebrow Moore sleepwalks through the proceedings, which gives Christopher Lee carte blanche in terms of scene stealing. The film starts promisingly, then plummets to absurd depths.
Diamonds are forever is bad but this is nonsense.

Brendan Clarke (not really a Bond Fan).
1/10

VHS : For Your Eyes Only [1981]
For Your Eyes Only has some of the better action of the Bond films, but there are so many other things wrong with it that it almost cancels out the quality action sequences. The opening sequence of the film, with the remote controlled helicopter and Blofeld in a wheelchair, is excellent. The theme song for the film is awful. What you have with For Your Eyes Only is a stereo typical 80s love song and the entire soundtrack consists of 80s music. I do realize this was made in the 80s but the music is so 80s its funny.

One of the noteworthy things about this film is that the action scenes were either done very well or they were incredibly realistic. For Your Eyes Only is one of the only Bond films with ski scenes that don't only avoid coming of a plainly ridiculous , but that are actually are ... Read More:
