VHS : Big Hit [1999]
I like this movie, a real good chill-out movie with some kung-fu like action and guns a plently. The story is simple, a gang of hit-men kidapp this young girl from a bankurpt man though they don't know that the girl is the granddaughter of their boss! Choas eruppts as one turns against them and wants the person who did the dirty deed dead. Mark Walhberg is at his hottest, showing off that chest and looking mightly fine as the love intrest for the kidapped girl. Full-on action and some funny moments, it's worth taking a look.

VHS : Come See The Paradise [1990]
This is one of the best true love stories you could ever see on film. It follows an Irish immigrant to America (Dennis Quaid) who gets involved a little to deeply in politics, and then tries to leave it all behind to live a normal life. He meets a Japanese girl called Lillie and they quickly fall in love. It's love at first sight for Jack and they run off to get married (her family does not approve)

The film then charts their young lives during a terrible period for all japanese families living in America, when Pearl Harbour was attacked!

Not to spoil what happens, but the lovers are separated and there is eventually a happy ending.

I love this film so much, I think Dennis Quaid is a brilliant leading man anyway ... Read More:

A movie which helps to challenge our notions of identity in a modern age.

Vincent - who is under investigation for the murder of his father - aims to kill his brother Clay and take his identity. Vincent is rich while Clay is poor. Unfortunately Clay survives and is taken into hospital where he is presumed to be Vincent by a psychiatrist, a plastic surgeon and his friends and staff. The only problem is that Vincent is obviously white and Clay is obviously black. Even when Clay wakes up to discover he has amnesia and watches video footage of Vincent he doesn't see himself as black and his brother as white. The only time doubt crops up about Clay's false identity is in a police line-up (to do with the investigation into the murder of Clay/Vincent's ... Read More:

VHS : Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 [1992]
I was troubled by the title as it discribed the turtles as teenage. This is all very well, I don't expect to see their birth certificate as proof. However, as the plot develops they find themselves in 17th century Japan. Does this still qualify them as teenagers? This should be made clear in the title somehow. However, despite occasional unnecessary violence, it is an amazing film and sets the standard in RAT/PIZZA-based cinema. Kevin Clash as the RAT sage Master Splinter is incredible, and gives his best performance ever, even eclipsing his venerable work as the voice of Elmo in Sesame Street: Elmo's World - Wild Wild West. Stuart T. Gillard is also a genius when given a PIZZARAT script to weave his magic on. Don't get me wrong, his comedy classic Doin' Time ... Read More:

The passion of the film makers shines through. This is a amazing character study capturing the many aspects of FLW. Beautiful photography frames a captivating story, sketching the rise and fall and rise again of a larger than life figure.
