Its wonderful to watch the original series where Buffy, Xander, Giles and Willow are introduced. The episodes on the DVD are stunningly sharp although there aren't that many special features.

My favourite episode is The Puppet Show. Sid is a great character and I can understand why they used him in the game. I also like the season finale.

Definitely worth buying!

VHS : Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 6 Collection - Part 2 [1998]
Part 2 of the sixth season of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" continues the themes of adult life and self-destruction introduced in Part 1. Season Six rubbed the fans up the wrong way because it was the Slayer and her friends who were the Big Bad this season, making wrong decisions, splitting apart and becoming weak to the point where the pathetic "Evil Trio" could actually pose a threat to them. Though it makes for depressing viewing sometimes, especially in filler episodes, it all eventually comes together in style.

The main characters continue to be well-fleshed out and are fun to watch, although Dawn (Michelle Trachtenberg) and Tara (Amber Benson) are as good as left out for most of the action. Tara was a sweetly mellow presence, but never really ... Read More:

This half of the series is brilliant. There are a couple of fun but silly episodes, but these are compensated for with episodes like Passion, I Only Have Eyes For You, Becoming (parts 1 and 2), Surprise and Innocence. This series is definately worth buying if you are a Buffy fan.

I loved this series. I feel that it's all about the end of an era of Buffy and Buffyverse. If I could have the Buffster back I would. Unfortunately, I will have to settle for the collection instead.

VHS : Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 3 Collection - Episodes 12 - 22 [1998]
This box set is probably the best becsause it contains classic episodes like 'Doppelgangland', 'Earshot', 'Enemies' and 'Graduation Day Part 2'. Season Three was a classic season and the second part was the best; everything was good...Angel featured, Willow was going out with Oz, Faith was wreaking havoc and the terrific baddie The Mayor was getting ready for his Ascension. We love How Things Used To Be!

VHS : Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 5 (Box Set 1) [1998]
I'll admit that after the let down that was season 4, I didnt really know what to expect. I will also admit that to me no season of Buffy will never be as good as seasons 2 and 3, which were, on the whole, outstanding. The first time round season 5 left me a bit empty, Im not sure why but I did struggle at first with the introduction of Dawn and felt the season was a little flat at the beginning.

However on the second watch, this season is actually really very good. I loved Glory, one of the best villains in my opinion and the unfolding plotline over Dawn being the key was played so brilliantly by all but the real credit has to go to Michelle Trachtenberg who steals many of the scenes when it is revealed who she really is. There are some great episodes, the direction ... Read More:

Buffy the vampire slayer is by far the best Sci-Fi show ever!!
It's been written amazingly, the acting is phenomenal. It has such an amazing array of genres, like comedy, drama, romance, musical, horror and sci-fi. This season is in my opinion the best yet. The musical was amazing, the cast are truly talented. If you haven't seen it yet, it's a must-see program!

VHS : Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 4 (Box Set 1) [1998]
In my opinion, Season 4 is a superb season. Yes, it's different to all the rest but that's what gives the show depth and substance; it'd be a bit boring if Buffy slayed a few vampires in every single episode. Joss Whedon took a bold decision in making Season 4 different - yet failed. Most viewers hated the fact that Angel and Cordelia were gone, there was the wood-like Riley and Buffy, Willow, Xander and Oz were out of high school. At least Whedon had the courage and faith in the show to take the transition it so desperately needed. Overall I think the first 11 episodes of Season 4 (all in this Box Set) are the best "first-half" episodes of any of the seasons - they're all good and unique in their own way.

Season 4 opens with the explosive The Freshman. The fourth consecutive season opener ... Read More:

VHS : Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 5 (Box Set 2) [1998]
Because "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was a mid-season replacement on the WB there were only 12 episodes that first season instead of the full slate of 22. That meant when the show ended its fifth and final season on the WB the last episode would be number 100 for the series and since the fate of the show was uncertain, creator Joss Whedon had to make sure that if "Buffy" did not find a new home that there would be a big finish. That he certainly provided, but as I watched the second half of Season Five (Episodes 12-22) again, what struck me is how many of the best moments have to do with Spike. Specifically I am thinking of when Spike tells the "Buffybot" why he would not betray Buffy and a couple of moments in the final episode: when Willow tells Spike to "go" and he does without a second thought, the look ...
