VHS : Dude, Where's My Car? [2001]
Dude Wheres My Car? has all the igredients of a great weed flick. Two counterparts, a series and bizzare and random events and obviously, a touch of hedonism. The prolem with DWMC, is that almost all the humour seems to hinge on the use of the word "dude" rather than relying on the humour of the events or script. An even bigger flaw, is the fact that the two main characters... are in fact - one character. There's no dicernable difference. Every good tag team contrast eachother: Craig & Smokey from Friday. Harold & Kumar. Riggs & Murtaugh from Leathal Weapon. But the 'dudes' in this movie are identically written.

The idea was good on paper, but after looking at Asthon Kutcher and Seann William Scott's stupid giggling ... Read More:

What a howler. Is there a minus star rating ?

This was a complete flop, one of those cinema moments that should be buried in concrete away from prying eyes. What were the film makers thinking. Awful story, wooden actors. (You may guess i didn't enjoy it)

Walk on by !!

VHS : American Pie 3: The Wedding [2003]
Going into this movie, my expectations were pretty low to begin with considering it's incredibly rare for film franchises to remain fresh and original with sequels, but "American Wedding" managed to surprise me by being even worse than I had originally expected. This movie was so bad, that when it was over, I contemplated all the different ways I could have better spent those 2 hours. Some of my ideas included planting a tree, reading a book, or finally getting that rash on my backside checked out!

The jokes were lame and predictable and the plot (or what passed for one) was tired and uninspired. I mean, who wants to see these sophomoric characters married?! What's next, "An American Baby", followed by "An American Funeral"? They can only take ... Read More:

VHS : Final Destination [2000]
The first movie in the trilogy is quite weak in my opinion compared to the third movie. The characters are forgettable and the deaths aren't very imaginative. I think this is a fairly good movie although I do prefer the third in the series. It's worth watching if you love a nice gory horror.

5.American Pie / American Pie 2 [2001] starring: Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Shannon Elizabeth, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein

VHS : American Pie / American Pie 2 [2001]
American Pie 2 wasn't as funny as the first Pie movie (how could you top a guy getting caught by his dad having intimate relations with an apple pie!).And it's nowhere near as funny as another film about college students like Road Trip which has one of the American Pie Stars in it (seann william scott who plays stifler). But it's worth seeing if you've got 90 minutes to spare. These Pie films are successful because the characters remain likeable despite saying and doing such gross things. And that's why the writers can get away with throwing in some romantic moments between the boys and girls that we, the viewers, can take seriously.

6.Old School [2003] starring: Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell, Jeremy Piven, Ellen Pompeo

VHS : Old School [2003]
Old School is advertised as a comedy and it is funny for the 90 minutes it runs and always has plenty of action and lively dialogue going on.And the idea of a bunch of people in their late thirties forming a club at a university is fairly original. These are nice guys who never grew up and the world is a brighter place because they didn't and your day will be brighter if you watch this film.

VHS : American Pie / Road Trip / Loser [1999]
To buy all three of these films is like stepping back into being a teenager in the 1999 - 2001 era.

For me, I was the same age as the characters when I saw each of these films at the cinema. Awesome memories and a vital part of my collection. To look back on these films in years to come is really something I will enjoy doing.

Besides the reflective aspect, the films are part of the 'college comedy' genre which went crazy around 1999. These are 3 of the best that come out of that. American Pie is a true classic, most of its cast have gone on to do really well. Loser was a low budget Jason Biggs film, but has a good storyline and is definately worth watching. Road Trip is a really good film, the 'E.L' character is a direct spawn of Stifler played by the same ... Read More:
