VHS : Home On The Range [2004]
Since the late 90's disney's 2d animated feature films are consistently disapointed, largely due to the fact of the 3D industries boom.

This film out 2004, at the time was disneys final 2d animation on the drawing board, as they decided it wasnt making money and to switch to only 3d films. Im glad to say they are doing new one coming out in a few years, but this traditional 2d animation is the true art of animation.

I watched this film as was quite suprised. It has some very interesting characters amd the story also was quite good. Not good enough for legendary status, but good none the less. Its about a group of cows who go on a quest to save their owners farm by capturing a villian to claim the reward, which would ... Read More:

OK, i understand that it pushes the racial boundaries and yes it is a bit far fetched and over dramatic in places but its a damn god film throughout!

The movie IS well orchestrated, slightly belivable but operates on so many different stages that its hard not to find something to enjoy. The mix of comedy, love, action, adventure and joy brings to gether a well balenced and heart wwarming movie for all the family.

and liv tyler well who needs to say more!

VHS : Fargo [1996]
To collect money for an investment, Jerry (Macy) sets a fake operation up for the kidnap of his wife, but it doesn't go according to plan.

The Coen brothers have made a name for themselves over the past twenty years and this 1996 film, written and directed by the pair cements them into the highest class of different and brilliant filmmakers.

The unusual plot opens with "This is based on a true story" when in fact it isn't, which will set the tone for a bizarre but highly intriguing viewing, made even more strange as the plot unfolds and the direction and cinematography are established.

This whole ideology of kidnapping gives the Coen brothers a great chance to dive deep into their unknowing way of thinking, and is ... Read More:

Having seen quite a few of Adam Sandler's films, I was disappointed by this one. For me it was lots of nonsense scenes stuck together (e.g. his frostbitten foot being battered - what was that about?, or assulting people in a restaurant for no clear reason, or assulting a mugger lying down on a pavement etc etc). Even the romance theme didn't stack up and left me cold. I much preferred Happy Gilmore or Big Daddy. Buy for the kids only.

VHS : Ghost World [2001]
Ghost World is a unique, disarming little oddball of a movie, played at a pace sufficiently light and deft to give us time to breathe in the delightful air of such sympathetic and quirky misfits. Not a great deal happens perhaps, yet each scene gives us a gentle little nudge that takes us gradually out of our cynical expectations and makes the film more watchable and satsifying than many an overwrought plot.

I found the film a pleasure from start to finish. Nearly every character is a displaced outsider struggling to fit in, from the teenage heroines to the 40 something loner Seymore. In the opening scenes, it seems we might simply be subjected to another hip teen movie revelling in a distasteful mockery and hatred of the older generation. In fact, each character ... Read More:

VHS : Reservoir Dogs [1993]

Having watched this movie for the first time in ten years, I was blown away by its brilliance and power. Lets get down to the brass tacks- this is a low-budget movie and it has a cheap amateur patina. First movie from the big-chin Quentin Tarantino who came out of nowhere (i.e., a video store in Manhattan Beach, California) and turned Hollywood on its ear in 1992 with this breath of fresh air.

Reservoir Dogs has a fantastic unconventional structure, cleverly shuffling back and forth in time to reveal details about the characters, experienced criminals who know next to nothing about each other.
From the start we know something has gone wrong, and the plan has blown up in the criminals faces. One by one, the surviving robbers find their way back to a prearranged warehouse ... Read More:

VHS : Escape from LA (widescreen) [1996]
Alot of people have reviewed this badly, which I think is unfair. If you go to watch this film and try to see it as a serious action film, then don't bother. Escape From L.A. should be seen as pure FUN, something missing from most of the action genre. As soon as you realize that this is a satire of the genre then you appreciate it for what it really is. Entertainment. Think "From Dusk Till Dawn" and you'll be on the same page. Yes the effects are bad. If you cant see Snake surfing a tidal wave in the middle of L.A. as taking the mickey, then God help you. Another reviewer commented on "bad acting" even though you have Pam Grier, Steve Buscemi, Kurt Russell and a whole host of others. Its just the style of the film. If what you want is gore, guns, blatant sexism, tongue in cheek humor and some of the best ... Read More:
