This is easily the weakest of the trilogy, as it simply repeats the formula of the previous films (as is ofton the case), but that still doesn't make it less entertaining. Still worth adding to your collection.

VHS : Deep Blue Sea [1999]
I remember watching this film when it came out, and was absorbed by the suspense and surprise, yet random 'deaths' that occurred throughout. In typical fashion, I lent it off a mate at school, who I'm sure we all knew one, had dad who was a bit dodgy... and had the pirate copy on VHS. It was a big talking point, and we all laughed over various parts of the film.

Unfortunately, I personally don't think the film is half as good second time round. I'm sure it's not just me now that i'm older, but it seemed the more I tried to take it all in, the less convincing it all is. Sammy L Jacksons grand killing scene is only good enough for a snigger, whereas I remember my mum jumping out of her skin originally. Even the CGI hasn't aged well, leaving the ... Read More:

VHS : The Punisher [2004]
This isn't your average gang vs. ex-cop film, in fact it may be the best one I've ever seen. Special agent Frank Castle had every intention of starting a normal life, but with his final undercover assignment came the death of Bobby Saint, son of the town's gang lord and let's just say there were repercussions, MASSIVE repercussions.
Apart from Castle's miraculously quick healing, the film is refreshingly believable plus "un-Hollywood-like", with the minor exception of the end. It is original for being distinctly grey: there is no good and bad, just humans fighting their emotions. Not only do the cast (Tom Jane and John Tavolta included) put in an outstanding performance but at no point does the film get consumed in mindless action, it tells its story with purpose ... An excellent film illustrating beautifully how hidden conflicts and feelings can affect a family.

The acting is brilliant and all put in great performances. The three sisters were cast very well and work together very well.

Brilliant performance most noteable by Caroline Gillmer who plays Hillary, the sister who has been most affected by the three tragedies to touch the sisters lives and has somehow kept up such a strong and willful fight to not show her emotion and pain. Probably to save her son, Troy, from knowing how far the wounds and emotions between his mother and her sisters are.

The films leads you through the story smootly and Joan Plowright as Marge complements this in the sort of narative role.

The location is quiet, ... Read More:

VHS : Action Pack: Perfect Storm, Three Kings, Deep Blue Sea
THE PERFECT STORM brings the pages to life. The movie features a big-name cast (George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg) playing the gruff, edgy fishermen in the Gloucester, Massachusetts, port, as well as close-up camera shots of the boats moored on the wintry docks. DEEP BLUE SEA absolutely does what it set out to do -- create a nail-biting rollercoaster ride of thrills and adrenaline. It's not a good movie, but it's highly recommended for a mindless Friday night thrill or a bit of Saturday matinee escapism. 3 KINGS shows of the acting skills of george cloony as well as the star Ice T. you'll cry, you'll laugh you'll definatly buy this after this review.

I can't understand why this is such a highly rated film!! There is nothing good about it except mindless violence, drug taking and stupid sexual innuendos. Fair enough this film is based on the porn industry so I would be a bit confused if there was no sex in it whatsoever but it's just the way it's shot and acted that seems so tacky. I apologize to people who have put this at the top of their hundred greatest films list but I really disliked it!

10.Original Sin [2001] starring: Antonio Banderas, Angelina Jolie, Thomas Jane, Jack Thompson, Gregory Itzin

VHS : Original Sin [2001]
This film I found to be OK- the plot was pretty good and the characters unusual. The film is based on a book and this is obvious in that the film is full of literary twists, which probably work better in the book- for instance several characters just appear for a brief moment and aren't developed as fully as perhaps they should- I liked this story as essentially it is a love story of the underworld, of infatuation and lust and this is conveyed remarkably well by Banderas and Jolie, who really do have a special on-screen chemistry. However, perhaps one should consider that this film was never released on DVD in Britain and I can't remember it adorning our screens either- so maybe if you're after a cinematic experience- i.e a fantastic film, perhaps you should give it a miss, otherwise ...
