I was first introduced to this film as a child and have recently rediscovered it at age 23. I still love it. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are so hilarious as the evil Sanderson sisters and the musical numbers are fab. I agree there should be a soundtrack. Definately one to watch, kids will love it, I put it on for my younger brother and he loved it. The only thing that creeped him out was the talking cat, think Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. This cat is Sarcastic, dry and ultmately hilarious. Give it a go people. Bette Midler is ace.

Used to watch this all the time when I was a kid - bought it recently and after 5 years of not watching, it was like revisiting an old friend. This is the kind of movie that makes you feel happy for days - essential.

I recently watched this film on tv having never even heard of it, so this was my first time, I was in tears, my nerves were fraying, my fingers were crossed, and I absolutely fell in love with it's story...It's a real tearjerker of a film...and I would recommend this film anytime anywhere... Ghost World is a unique, disarming little oddball of a movie, played at a pace sufficiently light and deft to give us time to breathe in the delightful air of such sympathetic and quirky misfits. this is based on the VHS version, but this film is about a young girl who wants her mother and father back together for christmas. her brother ethan tries his very hardest to help her with this. all the characters are loveable and i certainly cant have a christmas with out watching this movie!!
