Before you've seen a frame of this film you've already seen it. It follows a set pattern/formula and doesn't even bother coming up with an interesting twist from out of left field to justify its existence. If you're actively seeking out an average middle of the road thriller then you should like it. If you're wanting something good then don't waste your time on this. I expected it to be deeply unremarkable so I'm not disappointed as I got exactly what I was expecting. If the film had a few more "action" scenes (by action I mean scenes of jeopardy), better drawn characters and a more imaginative ending then I would give it three stars. Not as good as the other three dead films because it had a low budget and romero was not involved but highly enjoyable and fun with some great zombie action bits and i thought it was better than land of the dead which was a huge dissapointment

After the success of the first, a sequel was inevitable and the action, the claustrophobia and most importantly, John McClane were all still there. Bruce Willis (The Sixth Sense) has made John McClane into the ultimate male action hero, with a slick and sarcastic attitude towards life, and most importantly bad guys, and improvising a lot of his own work has made McClane an icon in the genre.
