VHS : Monte Carlo or Bust [1969]
Peter Cook and Dudley Moore are only two of the galaxy of stars who all have great parts in this classic 60's comedy about the famous car rally across Europe. Tony Curtis, Terry Thomas, Eric Sykes, Susan Hampshire and Gert Frobel all have dirty tricks up their sleeves to be first across the line as they face the hazards of the frozen North, the Alps etc. "Pete n' Dud" appear as two maniac Army officers in what is my favourite of all their performances. This film is the real story of the 60's cartoon serial "The Wacky Races" and you will recognise the Dick Dastardly character immediately as Terry Thomas (and Eric Sykes, the sneaky butler who translates brilliantly as "Mutley, The Snickering Hound" in "The Wacky Races"!) The media coverage of ... Read More:

This is an amazing piece of animation a must for all fans. The only criticism is that for now we can only get it on VHS, and that is the only reason for giving it 4 stars when it hits DVD, as i'm sure it must, it'll warrant the other star. If you can't wait for a DVD release, and unlike me don't already have this in your collection get it now I can't reccomend it highly enough. Also i'd say if you like this then give aeon flux a look, MTV did some masterful stuff back in the day.

This is wonderful - absolutely must-see viewing for anyone with even a passing interest in the history of the depiction of gay people in cinema (or, come to that, anyone with an interest in the history of cinema full stop). It's by turns fascinating, shocking, sad and uplifting.

As far as I know this DVD has never been released in the UK - which is a crying shame. Don't let that put you off, as this is one of the best films I've seen.

4.Mafia Princess [1986] starring: Tony Curtis, Susan Lucci, Kathleen Widdoes

I've always liked this film and thought it a great pity there had been no Region 2 release on DVD.
This cracking tale of dastardly deeds and deceit is a marvellous race to reach the next gag. And there is never long to wait!!
Through a plethora of cultures and engaging social backgrounds, the tale never seems to peak, until the fantastic pie fight.
A well re-mastered film, although the soundtrack did seem to fade in places.
However, top marks.

VHS : Operation Petticoat [1959]
Director Blake Edwards is a master at this sort of movie.

You have seen the basic story many times, however never as funny as this version. The action takes place during WWII in the south Pacific. Cary Grant is Commander Matt Sherman of the Sea Tiger, a not all too gather well submarine in need of repairs and lead paint. Tony Curtis is Lieutenant Nicholas Holden, an executive officer that is not too ept at sea duty but makes a procurement officer with unique abilities and methods of obtaining needed parts. Toss in a few nurses, some goats and you have the makings of an interesting situation.

I was interested in finding out who plays Seaman Hornsby? He was a real pig.

7.Queen's Logic (1991) starring: Kevin Bacon, Linda Fiorentino, John Malkovich, Jamie Lee Curtis, Joe Mantegna

I watched this video with my friend's grandchildren and it was so beautiful. I bought my son the LP years ago and now I am determined to buy the video for his little son. The visual is even better than the LP.
