VHS : Melody Time
this film from 1947 is not as well known as most other disney animated films. It was being produced as the second world war was coming to as close and because most of disney's profits were low due to audiences in europe being cut off and money being trapped in other countries disney didn't have the money to create the masterpieces such as Fantasia, Snow White or pinocchio which had gone before it. however the film is still enjoyable the seven segments are all set to popular music (well it was popular back in 1947) and features acts such as the andrews sitsters. The film shows that although disney didn't have a lot of money they could still entertain. Another reason why this dvd is so good is that it is completey unedited. In recent years many ... VHS : Destiny Turns On The Radio [1995]
I've read some very bad reviews of this film but personally I think It rules. It's interesting, funny, the acting is right on the money and I think very Tarantino in content. If, as well as his own directing you like all other Tarantino progects - the From dusk till dawn dawn series, Curdled, Four rooms you will love this.

VHS : Pet Sematary 2 [1992]
It was a different horror flick compared to the first, this movie was very independantly made. This happened , because, Pet Sematary 2 was not filmed in Maine, it was filmed in Senoia, Georgia. That was why the sets looked so different!

The movie went along well, even with the different sets, there was a good cast of actors, and the script was very well planned out as Pet Sematary was, the acting appeared brilliantly, the language was strong, and there are some pretty good laughs, and scares & many surprizes, and had very average suspense. And alot of violence too.

Look, first rent this movie from a video or DVD store, and if you're satisfied , then buy it, just like I did!

VHS : Grand Canyon [1991]
Thoroughly enjoyed this film on the big screen and it's certainly worth seeing on your TV. The very first gripping opening scenes set the tone of the film and provide a backdrop against which the message of the film is set. In a series of stories about everyday life in modern-day Los Angeles, little miracles happen every day and one person's simple actions can have dramatic consequences. The director does a rare job of creating a compulsive, very moving film without resorting to over-sentimentality. Fantastic. An American fairytale.

VHS : Countess Dracula [1970] [1971]
Loosely based on the real-life Countess Elizabeth Bathory, who believed that bathing in the blood of virgins would keep her young and beautiful, this is a well-made Hammer offering, starring Ingrid Pitt as the wicked lady herself. She manages to play both bad-tempered old battleaxe, stamping around her castle in black mourning, to voluptuous, predatory siren with great ease. It can also be seen as a sort of fairy-tale allegory, with the Countess getting more evil, depraved and ugly everytime she commits another murder. Sandor Eles is the poor chap who is completely taken in by her, and Nigel Green is the old family friend who has the unenviable task of trying to persuade her that it's perhaps better, when all's said and done, to grow old gracefully. ...
