VHS : Kickboxer 2 - The Road Back [1990]
This movie is actually a worthy sequel to Kickboxer. There is even more thought put into this one than the first. Mitchell is a fine actor if you're not too demanding and the story is quite appealing for martial arts fans. The acting is great all-round with some well-known actors (Peter Boyle, Cary Hiroyuka-Tagawa) to keep it going. It's just a shame you can't get the other sequels that Mitchell was in cause they're probably just a good. Overall, this is a great film that managed to capture the essence of kickboxing differently, but perhaps just as well as the first film.

VHS : The Sword And The Sorcerer [1982]
Good Sword & Sorcery action film, set in Dark Age/Medieval times (as opposed to Conan/Lord Of The Rings pre-history) with an overt fantasy edge.
It's successful in overcoming it's budgetary limitations, with plenty of action, decent sets/costumes etc and inventive visual FX. There's quite a high gore content here with grisly plague victims, heads cleaved in half, and hearts magically torn out! A very good villain too with the demonic, Sorcerer of the title (Great Make Up FX). The fight choreography is reasonable too with an impressive final sword fight ( incl. a three bladed mystical sword that can actually propel the blades, in missile fashion!)
The film has more of an Indiana Jones feel, than the intensity of Conan The Barbarian ... Read More:

It has now become an absolute favourite of mine and i make my fiance watch it over and over again when we rent it constantly from the video shop. VHS : Cyborg [1989]
*** This comment may contain spoilers ***

What was oddly supposed to be a sequel to Dolph Lungren's Masters of the Universe, Cyborg bares no relation to He-Man, Skeletor and Co. and is a strange mix of sci-fi, martial arts, and chase movie. The film is set in a desolate wasteland of the future where bandits travel the land rampaging and killing. Scientists are close to finding a cure for the disease which has almost wiped out every human. Nady Simmons holds the key and she must get to the scientists at Atlanta if there is to be any hope. However, a maniacal group of warriors is after her. She enlists the help of a strong drifter who happens to be a martial arts expert- Gibson, and who has motives of his own for helping her. For some reason all ... Read More:

8.Crazy Six starring: Rob Lowe, Burt Reynolds, Mario Van Peebles, Ice-T, Ivana Milicevic

VHS : Crazy Six
Billed as an action/thriller, 'Crazy Six' initially looks very promising. Director, Albert Pyun, has assembled a talented cast of actors here: Rob Lowe (The Stand), Burt Reynolds (Deliverance), Ice-T (Survivng the Game), and Mario Van Peebles (New Jack City).

An interesting story, 'Crazy Six' sees Billie, a.k.a Crazy Six (Lowe), a small-time drug dealer, join forces with Dirty Mao (Peebles), a druglord. Crazy Six is the 'sixth one in his family' and is apparently more than a little crazy. Together they attempt to steal drugs from Raul (Ice-T), a high-powered drugs trafficker. The plan fails, and they are subsequently tracked down by Raul's racketeers. Their only hope arrives in the form of Dakota (Reynolds), a hard-hearted, cynical lawman.

VHS : Nemesis 2-Nebula [1995]
Years have past since Alex Rain (played by Olivier Gruner in the first movie) stumbled onto the horrific plot that involved replacing humans with machines however since then a war between cyborgs and humans has emerged and we lost, now a superwoman of sorts who is the daughter of Olivier Gruner's character (She also inherits only half of his minimal acting ability) which I think is the films minimal connection to the first, however when the superwoman is created she hides in 1980 while a bounty hunter from the future hunts her down in this confusing sci-fi clunker. Nemesis became a cult hit, that I can see why people liked even though I was no fan of said film. Nemesis tried very ambitiously to come up with different ideas, develop a beautiful look and provide tons of action, ... Read More:

Reminiscent of his acclaimed performance in "Bad Lieutenant" Harvey Keitel (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, U571) stars in this gritty and powerful police thriller which also features a compelling performance from former Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten (aka John Lydon) as a violent psychopathic cop killer.

Lieutenant Fred O'Connors (Keitel) secret world of high living, financed by illicit side-dealing, is invaded when Leo Smith (Lydon) pays him a visit and confesses to a series of murders. From this point on, the two engage in a vicious and engrossing psychological battle of wills in a sadistic game where each is dependant on the other.
