VHS : Bonnie And Clyde [1967]
This Arthur Penn (father of actors Sean & Chris Penn) movie is one of the landmark films of the 20th Century, as it changed the course of American cinema forever. Having watched this classic again recently, I was struck at how brilliant the supporting actors are (Gene Hackman, M.J. Pollard, Estelle Parsons, Charlie Richard Pryor)- a surrogate family that made the film swing outside its frontline as well as tweaking the Hollywood rulebook.

Though Warner Bros had dumped the film in 1967, star Warren Beatty badgered the studio into a second release. Bonnie and Clyde then grossed over $20 million at the USA box office, landing on the cover of Time as the harbinger of the "New Cinema". Heavily influenced by the European art ... Read More:

VHS : The Miracle Worker [1962]
This is the story of Helen Keller, a young girl who went def and blind at around 3yo's. How she is taught to communicate with the worl, through Anne Bancroft, is a wonder. They played this on the stage, and made the film together. The fights are real, and left both of them black and blue.
Trivia information.
Patty Duke married John Austin, and became Patty Duke Austin. John played Gomez in the TV series, the Adams Family.
They had a son, called Sean, as in Sean Austin in the LOTR, Samwise.

VHS : The Chase [1966]
Arthur Penn has set the stage for a great social satire on various issues like class distinction ,racial bigotry, saturday night social revelvry, adultery and finally the failure of justice in a breach of the american dream in this taut drama set in a texan town on a warm saturday night .

Redford has broken from prison and a lot of people are afraid for themselves due to a freaky guilty conscience,as they have wronged him and fear revenge and this premise becomes a viloent circus on the american attraction to the glorification of crime and anti-social behaviour.

Fonda As Redfords wife and Brando as the sheriff is trying to find him before he can be slaughtered as a sacrificial lamb by the town people who need a show on saturday ... Read More:

VHS : Starsky And Hutch - Vol. 3 [1976]
Brilliant American cop series from the 70's. This is a 2- part story about the duo who are both tricked into going to Vegas to catch a serial killer who has been murdering show girls. I wont spoil the story for any body ,but if you're a fan of Starsky and Hutch this a cool video to have as part of your collection. Look out for Linda Carter of Wonder Woman fame .After watching this you will realise why the cop shows from the 70's were so good.

VHS : Starsky And Hutch - Vol. 2 [1976]
Volume two of the television series features one of my personal favourite episodes, name "The Psychic". Our two heroes are pitted against the clock to find the kidnapped daughter of a wealthy football owner. Eagle eyed viewer will glimpse a young Edward James Olmos who played Castillo in "Miami Vice" who has a bit part as Julio Gutterez, one of the villains. By far the best scenes are when Hutch has to race from telephone box to telephone box carrying $200 000 in ransom money to deleiver. However, it all goes wrong, Hutch gets shot and Starsky blows up the villains - the only ones who knew where the girl was being kept. Is it the end for the girl?
