The first season of angel was about introducing us to the scenario of the vampire with a soul seeking redemption on the mean streets of Los Angeles with a few mixed helpers. However, the shows has developed unbelievably strongly from its earlier days as a sort of cop-show esque anthology about the team helping a different person every week. The events at the first season climax highlighted this, what with the return of the thorn in Angels side and the destruction of angel investigations hq. This box set is gr8! You get to see David Borenaz/Angel in a new and darker light, away from the cloud Buffy, where she takes all the lead roles. You also get to see Cordelia and Wesley( and Doyle) in a way that explains more about the character behind them, for example, you see why Cordi is usually so mean. I would recomend this to anybody who has any interest in Buffy or Angel at all. The best episodes are the ones with Faith, as you see her behind the make up and tight clothes.

This half of the series is brilliant. There are a couple of fun but silly episodes, but these are compensated for with episodes like Passion, I Only Have Eyes For You, Becoming (parts 1 and 2), Surprise and Innocence. This series is definately worth buying if you are a Buffy fan.

This is one of the best single tape of Buffy around,all 4 episodes are great,this is the tape where we get the 2 parter , when Angel becomes Angelus.This tape paves the way for the future seasons,with Buffy and Angel get's as close as possible,Willow and Oz getting "closer" and Xander get's personal with Cordellia.Trully a great tape!

I started watching this amazing show about 3 months ago. I'd seen a few episodes of Season 3, but I decided I wanted to get ahead of BBC2 and buy this video as soon as it came out. Wow. Thre's just no other word, wow. I have never felt the characters' pain as much as in these episodes, espesh in Lover's Walk, my favourite ep, when I actually felt sorry for Cordelia at one point! Faith is a really good character as well. You have to buy this vid, if it's it's the only Buffy vid u ever buy, make it this one.

At first, I wasn't sure whether to buy this video, as the descriptions of the episodes didn't sound too good, but boy, am I glad I did! All of the episodes on the video are great. The Wish sees Buffy disappear! It also sees the return of the Master and Willow and Xander become vampires! In Amends, Angel is haunted by nightmares of his past and needs to overcome his own demons before he can carry on his relationship with Buffy. My favourite episode on the video has to be Gingerbread. This sees Buffy's mom lead a gang of adults who go on a witch hunt. This ends up with Buffy and Willow being tied to the stake and fire all around them! I would highly recommend this video to any Buffy fan and to those who want an action packed video with attitude.
