VHS : Don't Say A Word [2002]
There was some good acting in this film but the ridiculous story made it hard to enjoy. Also somebody withheld the suspense because I didn't feel on the edge of my seat. This film was I suspect, a bit like the book it was based on:it had a clever plot rather than a credible plot. For a much better kidnap film buy the movie "Ransom" with Mel Gibson and Rene Russo which is also set in New York. That has some great twists in the story and a much more believable story too and is way more exciting to watch.

VHS : Kiss The Girls [1998]
I enjoyed this film and all the actors did a good job but it didnt live up to my expectations after reading the book. The book is so suspenseful and the movie wasnt. I didnt feel the movie really captured casonova and though the film is an 18 im not sure why as they kept it quite clean and glossed over his vile acts.
Gary Ewles was gorgeous and great as always.

I can't believe this fim has so many positive reviews, I tried to sit through it last night and gave up after an hour.

If you're expecting someting in the Reservoir Dogs mould you'll be sorely dissapointed, beacuse the film is just dire. And as for the use of language, when you can actually understand what they're saying it's just annoying.

Jimmy the Saint's love story is also a completely unecessary addition to the film, and only adds to its cheesiness.

Give It A Miss....

VHS : From The Earth To The Moon [2005]
Tom Hanks and the Apollo13 production team have re-united only three years after the the film was released to give us yet another insight into the workings of NASA and it's glorious days from the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions. If I was to give anybody one piece of advice on how to view this, then treat each episode individually rather than the series in it's entirity.

I loved how the producers had considered the many people whom made the missions take off from the ground in the first place and the importance of the work that they carried out, my favourite episode had to be 'Spider'- this was based on the design and build of the LEM, or Lunar Module by the company Grunmann and it's project overseer Tom Kelly. The work and ... Read More:

VHS : Runaway Jury [2004]
I have no idea whether juries in the real world can be corrupted as this jury in the reel world is, but "Runaway Jury" is a riveting thriller that ought to capture the interest of the viewer from beginning to end, whether one buys into all the plot points or not.

Its success as a genre-film derives from the superlative cast, which is headed by Dustin Hoffman in the role of the honest but savvily down-to-earth attorney (with shabby suit and a carefully planted mustard dab on his tie) who is suing the big gun companies on behalf of the wife of a victim of a mass murder; and Gene Hackman as the ruthless (and expensively dressed) jury consultant, who does not give a fig for the victims, but merely wants to win big on behalf of his even bigger clients, no matter how low ...
