Absolutely hilarious depiction of Manc lad Paul Calf, with his Chuck Norris haircut and total inability to function as a respectable citizen. Meet his mate Fat Bob, sister Pauline Lulu Calf, and two appearances by playwright Patrick Marber, as Roland the student and Spiros ("like a Greek god, only fatter and with a tache"). Very funny scripts and set-ups, this is a character Coogan ought to revive (Calf in his 40s, still on benefits despite getting four numbers once at the lottery?). One grumble - why isn't this on DVD yet? - my VHS is getting worn out.

Harry Enfield, Kathy Burke and Paul Whitehouse are some of the best comediens I have ever seen. When I first sat down to watch it on my birthday, I knew it was the best Birthday present I got that year. By the end of the vidio we were all crying with laughter. I especially love the football match between the arsenal team of the 20's and the Liverpool team of the 90's. It's a work of art. And the take off of the tv series 'Jason King' is Brilliant. 'Jason Queen' If you don't watch it you are really missing out.

Steve Coogan delivers the best performances of his career so far. The characters are fantastic! from the return of Paul and Pauline Calf in the hilarious 'Get Calf!' to maniacal quiz obsessives in 'Natural Born Quizzers', the full series of 'Coogan's Run' is something no-one should miss!

Classic comedy from the talent of Harry Enfield whose characters captured the absolute essence of the 90s; more than ably assisted by Paul Whitehouse & Kathy Burke. I wish the BBC would release the full series on DVD (& the 2nd series too), but it doesn't look like it will do anytime soon unfortunately. This video is reason enough then to keep the old VCR going!

Harry's done it again! He's made a better series than the first. It has the great dj-mungus SHASHIE and NICEY seeing how they cope leaving radio fab fm. It has (as always) TIM NICE BUT DIM,and the classic WAYNE SLOB robbing a bank. if you've had a taste of comedy from Enfield or you're just a beginner,this man is a genius at making everyone laugh their heads off.

The Young Ones is a classic, cutting edge comedy set in the mid 80s. Featuring characters Rik, Neil, Vivian and Mike, these characters are so different to eachother, it's a recipe for disaster! This series features the classic episode 'Bambi' in which they go to a laundrette and somehow end up on University Challenge, bizarre! Thats what makes this program so unique! Some people find it hallarious, like me, and some people find it annoying. Thats why I gave it 4 out of 10. So if you like stupid humour, buy it now. If you like smart comedy with clever jokes, maybe its not for you.
