VHS : Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 2 (Box Set 2) [1998]
This half of the series is brilliant. There are a couple of fun but silly episodes, but these are compensated for with episodes like Passion, I Only Have Eyes For You, Becoming (parts 1 and 2), Surprise and Innocence. This series is definately worth buying if you are a Buffy fan.

VHS : Angel - Season 1 (Box Set 2) [2000]
This box set is gr8! You get to see David Borenaz/Angel in a new and darker light, away from the cloud Buffy, where she takes all the lead roles. You also get to see Cordelia and Wesley( and Doyle) in a way that explains more about the character behind them, for example, you see why Cordi is usually so mean.
I would recomend this to anybody who has any interest in Buffy or Angel at all.
The best episodes are the ones with Faith, as you see her behind the make up and tight clothes.

4.Angel - Season 2 (Box Set 1) [2000] starring: David Boreanaz, Charisma Carpenter, Alexis Denisof, J. August Richards

VHS : Angel - Season 2 (Box Set 1) [2000]
The first season of angel was about introducing us to the scenario of the vampire with a soul seeking redemption on the mean streets of Los Angeles with a few mixed helpers. However, the shows has developed unbelievably strongly from its earlier days as a sort of cop-show esque anthology about the team helping a different person every week. The events at the first season climax highlighted this, what with the return of the thorn in Angels side and the destruction of angel investigations hq.

This second season sees a new hq that suits the show and the ever expanding cast perfectly, the introduction of the (initially) occassional character of the Host who, fo me, comes to challenge Wesley as the greatest character in the show, and finally we ... Read More:

VHS : Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 3 Collection - Episodes 12 - 22 [1998]
This box set is probably the best becsause it contains classic episodes like 'Doppelgangland', 'Earshot', 'Enemies' and 'Graduation Day Part 2'. Season Three was a classic season and the second part was the best; everything was good...Angel featured, Willow was going out with Oz, Faith was wreaking havoc and the terrific baddie The Mayor was getting ready for his Ascension. We love How Things Used To Be!

VHS : Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 5 (Box Set 1) [1998]
I'll admit that after the let down that was season 4, I didnt really know what to expect. I will also admit that to me no season of Buffy will never be as good as seasons 2 and 3, which were, on the whole, outstanding. The first time round season 5 left me a bit empty, Im not sure why but I did struggle at first with the introduction of Dawn and felt the season was a little flat at the beginning.

However on the second watch, this season is actually really very good. I loved Glory, one of the best villains in my opinion and the unfolding plotline over Dawn being the key was played so brilliantly by all but the real credit has to go to Michelle Trachtenberg who steals many of the scenes when it is revealed who she really is. There are some great episodes, the direction ... Read More:

VHS : The X Files : Season 2 Collector's Edition
Just when two/three parters were coming into being, season two had mulder and scully chasing if even more strange phenomeon. Those used to modern Xfiles will find it a bit 'old-fasioned' [scully's hair, as if it needs to be pointed out, and the glasses, need i say more?] but well worth the money. Many of the episodes are in the book series, Our Town being a great one to mention.
As with other xfiles box sets, the main problem is the season finale arc. you'l get the conluding episode from the previous season [although not with this one as season 1 ended withwithout 'to be continued'] and the first part of the next season finale. Unfortunatly with season two, the only way to get the two concluding episodes is to buy season 3, as it's the only season cliffhanger not to be out on video seperatly

VHS : Angel - Season 2 (Box Set 2) [2000]
Of all the box sets forming this wonderful series, this has to be considered the best. We see the sheer grit of dark angel, the tension relieving moments with his former employees, and a trully fantastic season closing arc.
The Angel we see here is no longer the dark avenger he started as. We're now dealing with a different beast with a score to settle, and there are pretty much no boundaries left for him to cross. He even goes as far to put his soul on the line in 'epiphany', which does exactly what it says on the tin.
As for the other characters, Wesley's transformation away from geek to a man of (somewhat) authority. Gunn becomes a little more bearable, and Cordy continues to grow as a person. Which is a shame.
The producers also introduce us to Fred, a regular from the third season, who provides ... Read More:

VHS : Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 4 (Box Set 1) [1998]
In my opinion, Season 4 is a superb season. Yes, it's different to all the rest but that's what gives the show depth and substance; it'd be a bit boring if Buffy slayed a few vampires in every single episode. Joss Whedon took a bold decision in making Season 4 different - yet failed. Most viewers hated the fact that Angel and Cordelia were gone, there was the wood-like Riley and Buffy, Willow, Xander and Oz were out of high school. At least Whedon had the courage and faith in the show to take the transition it so desperately needed. Overall I think the first 11 episodes of Season 4 (all in this Box Set) are the best "first-half" episodes of any of the seasons - they're all good and unique in their own way.

Season 4 opens with the explosive The Freshman. The fourth consecutive season opener to be written and ... Read More:
