VHS : Flambards - Episodes 1 To 6 - Entry To A New World [1979]
An excellent yarn that manages well to dramatise the first three books in the 'Flambards' series. The fourth book is not covered (as this contradicts the depth and strength of the characters already built up in the first three books, this no bad thing) so the the series summarises a complex and sometimes cold story, reflecting the social situation and the change in society's structure of the time.

VHS : Billy Connolly - Live At The Apollo [1994]
This is my favourite of all the Billy Connolly videos I have seen so far. Billy covers a multitude of topics from dogs to diahorrea with his usual spot on obsevations and anecdotes.
Sure he swears a lot during his shows but he never uses this profanity for a cheap laugh or to be crude (although he does cover what some may see as taboo subjects)
I've watched this video many times over and I always find myself crying with laughter, especially at the part where Billy describes a rather unfortunate incident that happened while on holiday in Spain!!!
Excellent stuff from Billy...highly recommended!!

4.Harry's Game [1982] starring: Ray Lonnen, Geoffrey Russell, Nicholas Day, Geoffrey Chater, Charles Lawson

VHS : Harry's Game [1982]
Gerald Seymour is an author of great talent who consistently produces thrillers of gritty realism and convincing plots. The depth, and character development achieved in his writing would be near impossible to achieve on the screen.
The dramatisation of Harry's Game saw some creditable performances and an attempt to re-create Seymour's atmosphere - but sadly it does not achieve the affect created by the book. An entertaining film nonetheless for those who may not have read the book.

5.Mink DeVille Live at The Savoy (1981) starring: Willy DeVille, Kenny Margolis, Ricky Borgia, Louis Cortelezzi, Joey Vasta

VHS : Chimera [1990]
I watched chimera the first time round when it was on t.v, it freaked me out then so i was reluctant to watch it again. Just looking at the cover of the video takes me back to nights of abject terror!! I decided enough was enough the freaky little half-bred thing on the cover wasnt going to put me off so I watched it. Just as i remembered scary in places but works better now in this day and age of cloning and playing god than it did back then. Would recommend this to anyone. very good. Just got to stop looking out of the window now to make sure the thing with the dodgy walk isnt out there!! I certainly wouldnt want my kids playing with it!

VHS : Galaxy Of Terror [1981]
I first saw this title in 1983 on VHS. I was a lot younger and it blew my mind, I thought it was great.
Having seen it again since it has lost it little of its lustre and it looks very dated.
The effects are mid-range the acting is mid-ranged, and the story is mid-ranged too.
However, it has that B movie charm and can be a little gory. So lie back and laugh and enjoy this lovely piece of sci-fi hokum.

OK, let me tell you how bad this film is, a bunch of babies talking acting cool may sound good but it is total nonsense. Dont buy this tripe, you can buy any other film and it would be better than this, AVOID AVOID AVOID
