VHS : Falling For A Dancer [1998]
I love this DVD and it is definitely my most watched drama. I hold it on a pedestal along with the BBC "Pride and Prejudice" drama. My teenage daughters were even won over by the series despite listening to me drone on about it for a few years before they watched it! And that was no mean feat!

I have posted a short review of the novel on this site, but actually it was the DVD that I watched first and this inspired me to read the book. I actually prefer the slight alteration to the story as featured on the DVD (with author approval). I cannot recommend the DVD or book enough.

VHS : The Jump [1998]
Brilliant!!! I have read every one of Martina Coles books and have enjoyed every one of them more and more. The Jump is well written. A little different to some of her books however also has some similarites. This book keeps you guessing and I never expected the baddy to be who it was. Excellent.

VHS : Cracker - One Day A Lemming Will Fly [1993]
You know that a Cracker story is going to be something special when it is written by Jimmy McGovern. McGovern has the very impressive ability to write about sensitive issues realistically and sometimes shockingly without making the rest of the story lose its charm. This is mainly achieved through use of humour (which is why Robbie Coltrane was always the perfect choice for the role of Fitz).
"One Day a Lemming Will Fly" is he third story in the Cracker series, and, while perhaps not the most hard-hitting of all the episodes by McGovern, it still drags you in and leaves a deep impression of you.
The story centres around the mysterious death of 14 year old Timothy Lang, a shy, introspective and gay boy who is found hanging in the woods ... Read More:
