VHS : Lillie - The Jersey Lily - Episodes 1 To 6 - A Life Of Scandal, Notoriety And Romance [1978]
I found this whilst scanning for Victorian / Edwardian period drama and although I was only 11 years old when it was released, can't say I remember it. What can I say? This is a very enjoyable series; I watched one episode a week though it is very difficult not to watch another! I think it is well screened with only a few obvious cardboard cut out scenery shots but this certainly does not detract from the fine acting particularly from Francesca Annis, Anton Rodger, Denis Lill, Peter Egan and Jennie Linden with a few surprise actors and actress' along the way.
I bought this for a great price new and it is packaged very nicely.
I would thoroughly recommend this title if you are into this kind of thing.

This has got to be the best live gig recording ever done concerning MAGNUM..Bob Catley is in fine voice throughout the 90 minutes..I have seen others they have done where he is obviously worn out by too many nights and fails to keep tune...but thats probably not his fault...but on this night he excels as a frontman with style and the sound of the band is pure heaven...one is tricked into thinking this is a studio recording sound due to the fabulous quality. I searched for this for many years...and as someone said...why is it not on DVD..I shall wait and keep looking..but for now..I truly do have the very best of Magnum..

VHS : Magnum PI [1981]
There has been talk of many super action heros on television, Starsky and Hutch, The A Team and Doctor Sloane to say a few. But in my opinion this video collection is the quintessential viewing for anyone desperatly searching for perfection in the identity of a hero. Thomas Magnum( played excellently by Tom Selleck) is a private investigator funded by the multi millionaire writer Robin Masters, which has its purks such as the use of a rather nice Ferrari. However the keeper of the house, Higgins, begrudges these priviledges and the conflict results in superlative viewing. The set is Hawaii, a haven for ex military veterans, which introduces us to the good friends rick and TC, who fought so valiantly in Vietnam.
All nine episodes are classics in themselves but ... Read More:
