Well, if you're looking for a gentle introduction to line dancing, this isn't it. My friend and I, thought (as you do sometimes) we would have an evening in and see if we could get a bit fitter with line dancing. It's not your average way to get fit, but we thought it'd be fun. How wrong could we be? We were expecting step by step instructions, not fully choreographed dances from the start. It was an absolutely hilarious night, but we still have no clue how to line dance! :o)

This video is excellent. If you want to learn the jive then buy this one. The dancing is good, the commentary is clear, and the natural progress from absolute beginner to advanced is made in distinct stages. Each of these stages is supplemented by clips of good club dancers having fun and reinforcing what you have already learned. There is no problem with the music on this video, the jive is danced to jive music. The club dancers have even dressed up accordingly in order to help radiate an atmosphere, and to add glamour to the performance. This is a video for your collection.

this is a really great video to explore and start in the world of tap i started tap six months ago, using this video and lesssons i am about to do my grade two exam. I myself was a stranger to dance of any sort but i took a great interst in tap. This video just points out the basic steps and how to hold your body when dancing, i would recommened it to anyone.

The review was totally misleading. I did what everyone else would do, get the guitar out, stick the video in and get to work. What I got was a gut who is so confident that his way is best that he goes at it like a Bull in a China Shop! SLOW DOWN!!!!!! It is definately not one for the beginner, I showed it to a really accomplished guitarist and his opinion was that if he had first started by watching this video he would have hung up his guitar and thrown away his picks and slides. Think seriously before you buy this Video!

This is the first of 2 videos (the 2nd being "Learn to Dance - Rock n Roll with Kav Kavanagh"). Kav does an excellent job of teaching and makes simple and easy to learn moves that at first look complicated. He provides lots of repetition and practice and his occasional mild humour helps. The backing music is great. Now we're used to watching DVDs, going back to VHS tapes on a 42" screen shows that the definition was not as good on tape. However, this is still thoroughly recommended.
