VHS : A Sunday in Hell - Paris-Roubaix bicycle race [1976]
My favourite documentary ever I should think. There's nothing dated about this as the situation and drama is timeless. The race itself is depicted in all it's lunacy - gashed heads, broken ankles, protesting print workers and colliding support vehicles. There are many aspects of this story that make it seem uncompromisingly French - the passion for cycling, again, the protestors and the driving. All this comes over in abundance without the need for translation while the English commentary describes drama of the race itself.

2.Pour Un Maillot Jaune [1965] starring: Frank Alamo, Rik Van Looy, Raymond Poulidor, Nancy Holloway, Felice Gimondi
directed by: Claude Lelouch
October 01, 1996

VHS : The Bristol Car - Never More Than Three A Week
The video is a wonderful insight into the world of the Bristol. LJK Setright is at his best in the documentary, together with some inside shots of the factory. MR Crook's, together with the current Sir George White Bt. make i teven moer interesting, particularly the Le Mans history.

The cars are tracked from 400 to Blenheim, with good levels of detail and history included too. Two things it could do with though - a little more on the actual manufaturing of the cars and an update.

There have been some inportant changes around Bristol in the last few years whic are not caught in the video as it is close to a decade old.

Overall - a worthwhile purchase, even if just to see Setright and the Le Mans footage
